Oh my god - at 3:59 - that was hilarious! I'm an American who's visited Berlin 3 times in the last 1.5 years, and I LOVE Berlin. I've stayed at a hostel close by Senefelderplatz, and the Americans there said things like this.
By the way, the bread is so good in Germany that I started baking my own bread since this past summer - after my second visit to Germany.
I'll tell you two things that I did to trigger Germans:
    1. This past July, I was on the 100 bus at Humboldt University, and I wanted to go around the whole city, and the 100 bus goes around the whole city. Unfortunately, it had one more final stop at Alexanderplatz, where we were forced to get off. Like an idiot, I stayed on the bus, because in the USA, the bus driver would probably let you stay on the bus, especially if you're friendly. Next thing you know, that bus driver hissed at me like a snake!
    2. Also on that visit, I visited the DDR Museum, and I bought my ticket from a man with a nice smile, and I left it purposely in my locker. When it was time to leave the museum, you needed to present your ticket. I told the guy with the nice smile who issued my ticket that I'll need to go outside the main museum to the lockers, he had this executioner's look. Once again, I felt 2 nanometers tall.

Reminded me of the time in Uni when I missed my stop cause I fell asleep. The bus driver woke me up at the last stop, insisting that I have to leave the bus cause he had to drive another route, even after I told him my cellphone was dead and I had NO IDEA where tf I was.
Dude just straight up sent me outside and drove away😂
(Made it to class 40mins later after running down the streets hoping to go into the right direction and trying not to have a full-blown panic attack.
But: German punctuality worked, I was there in time😅)

Here in England, we bought an all day family ticket for a bus and wanted to make a circle. Just to see the full rout of our local bus. We got in the same trouble as you in Berlin when not left the bus at its end point. We had to get out and then to get in again. We were told by the driver that the buses are not for riding around as much as you wish. Aren't they? Though normally local bus drivers are pretty friendly.
