When I successfully opened that portal with that machine, thanks to a staff member, I was fangirling shamelessly and loudly. People were smiling and laughing at me (not in a mean way, but) for my enthusiasm for that cool Stranger Things fan dream come true moment. I answered the phone in the Byers living room 3 times so far. Been to the store 3 times already. I need to buy a Scoops Ahoy keychain I forgot to buy for my friend. I hope that I can still get that eye shadow palette and waffle lip balm. I’m annoyed with myself that I didn’t get the non-holiday greeting card, but I got the holiday greeting card instead as a present to my friend in Oregon. I’ll try to get one of the mini arcade games. Wish me luck! 🤞

I just wish the show could go on a bit more. Heard there was going to be another season after this season, but I want more. 😊When a show leaves you wanting more it is damn good. ( all that Gilligan's island left me wanting was for them to get rescued already)

i mean the show has been on since 2016. i think 5 seasons is a good sweet spot for most shows. enough to get a good story in, anything after 5 seasons tends to really go downhill. not saying i wouldnt want more seasons of ST

I went to the Chicago store 2 times, once with my daughter, and had so much fun... I shamelessly bathed in nostalgia and everything I love about the show, and we ended up getting 1 cropped hoodie, 4 t-shirts, a couple key-rings and a MOTU Evil Lyn figure I've been looking for for ages! ( did not expect to see MOTU there, but was very happy I did). I would have liked to get a Hellfire club shirt, but there were all sold out in my size by the time I got there, as were the hats. I'm glad to see the store did well, cause hopefully it will come back for the last season. I wasn't sure if it was just going to feel gimmicky before I went, but it turned out to be a really fun and worthwhile experience that I shared with my daughter who loved it too.

What bothers me about Stranger Things is the complete lack of any Patrick Nagel paintings. I grew up in the 80's and his artwork was EVERYWHERE. It's not cliche'. His artwork (even though died in 1984), really captured the entire decade. The colors he used... the abstract nature of his art... could only exist in the 1980's.

They opened one in Dallas and it’s just a nonstop line. A reservation just let’s you skip the outside line, but inside is just jam packed with people. There will even be a line just to leave! Definitely a fire hazard. Maybe it’s because ours opened in the summer, right when school let out, but if you go on a Tuesday or Wednesday, it won’t be as bad, but still lines for everything. At least you can actually see the merchandise on those days. Been 3 times, and Friday was definitely the worst and I wished I hadn’t gone, but my firth and third visit was on a Wednesday. Busy, but not nearly as bad.
It mostly just feels like a photo op, and everyone MUST obtain content for their Instagram account, so that’s why there are such long lines for everything. It just seems like if you wanted to show off how cool you were in 1980s Hawkins, you’d just buy merch and wear it. People can “follow” you at school. They would view modern social media as free advertising for The Man.
