I have a beautiful girl grey hound, she’s three and a half, such a cuddle pot, and soo good, she throws her toys up in the air, just like spud, her name is Giselle, we’ve only had her for six weeks, but she has settled in so well, knows her routine, I swear she can tell the time, loves her walkies, gets very excited when she hears that word, loves her food, we had a couple of accidents the first couple of weeks, but she now knows out side is the place to go. We can’t imagine life without her now, we love her so much, and she loves us too.

Congrats on your sweet Spud! I have adopted retired racers for 19 years now. They are the most wonderful dogs and after settling into their new home and pack, they are so sweet and affectionate. It’s lovely to see another hound find his forever home!

Hi there we have had 3 greyhounds… all lovely. Not sure if you experienced night fright… when asleep some greyhound get startled when cuddled.

I would love to get a greyhound to live and play with my German Shorthair Pointer. Both very energetic. I have a yellow lab as well but he is more laid back and cannot keep up with my GSP. Love this video. My GSP is just like your Greyhound. Inside the house, he is a slug but, in the backyard or in the field my GSP is all business. Great video!

Greyhound playing and zoomies are something special. Before I knew anyone who had them, I knew they were fast, but because they were so thin and lanky and long, I never thought they'd really be agile in turning. But the spin zoomies are intense! haha
He is gougous.my greyhound does zoomy to .she's a rescue .wouldn't be with out her .mine doesn't bark until she sees cats .she's white with black ,white face ..she is a gentle sol .never bit anything up.but very clingy .she does go off lead Moshe chased cat .but when shouted come back .only let her off lead now were no cats are .she just a girl who's frightened to leave .she was homed 3 times took back.CU's of this .your spud is a lovely natured dog so handsome .I bet your so made up with him .love collies to .so gentle to each other that's great .yes they love to be in bed ours does to .great tips thanks for posting .

Hi, great doggie !!! I've had two. The first one would do those 360's in the living room. I'd find little hardened drops of greyhound saliva on the TV screen and glass book shelf doors. Not any kind of a problem. I think I'm days from getting my third. Anyway, he looks like he's got life exactly where and how he wants it. The very best of wishes !!!

So jealous! My greyhound is almost 6 and had him for almost 2 years now. he doesn’t like to climb on the couch or bed. Which some people are okay with. I can never snuggle him nor lay close to him. Which I wish I could! He starts to growl for me to get away so he can be alone.
He doesn’t mind the head scratches and belly rubs but cuddles is a big no no.

We haven’t opened up most places where I’m from so I’ve basically been bingeing watching baking videos and making pastry treats lol because no ones going to see me for a few months so why not 😂

About the muzzle, it was a law unless they were a GAP greyhound. Now in Victoria unless they are racing ones they no longer needed. It's best if you let them off lead in a fence area and have more than one you want to muzzle them because of their thin skin. I have had 2 sets of 3. Right now non of my have raced, I have 2 females that are litter mates and a male.

Regarding the muzzle law, it's an antiquated Greyhound Racing law from 1927 and doesn't have anything to do with the breeds temperament or nature. It should 100% be abolished.

my question is why do i see some with 3 collars on? like i see some with a martingale collar, harness and some other collar on all at once. looking into getting a greyhound. spud is so cute btw!
A martingale is for walking but not for leaving on with a tag so you need a tag/house collar as well

Harness or martingale collar
Harness, more control and it won't hurt the neck like a collar if he/she has a mad moment on the lead, or in my case see's a cat or rabbit.
Spud looks like my girl Lytle she and her sister Princess are 8 years old, Cesar is nearly 7 years old.
It seems to me that your greyhound has inflamed ears! Pink color and the presence of dark red things in the auricle, this is a sign that there are ear mites! Greyhounds often have this problem! I treated my greyhound's ears for these ticks! And for prevention, I wiped my ears with a cotton pad soaked in hydrogen peroxide! But I do not know what the concentration of hydrogen peroxide is in your country, I recommend to consult a specialist!
Seems like so many youtubers are all getting greyhounds, Am I the only one to notice this ? I have 2 greyhounds myself but no youtube channel. kind of hope this trend continues for a while with all the U.S. tracks closing so many of these wonderful dogs will need forever homes. I also foster as they need help going from the track to a home.

@@Chibbipanduhhhhhhh look for your local greyhound adoption group. they will want to do a walk threw and make sure the dog will be going to a safe place, once you find the group and let them know you are interested in adopting. Greyhounds will take over any soft place they can find, dog beds couches beds ext. They are tall dogs so watch out for the counter surfers as they can reach the counters easily. Most retired racing greyhounds have never really been a pet so you need to help them learn and give them time. after a few months you will see their full personalities and then will forever been in love with the breed.
@@kevintunaley5079 I've owned various mastiff breeds so, I'm used to the tall and mellow dogs. Currently, have an APBT and she runs this household, in a good way. I've always wanted a greyhound, but we ended up getting other breeds instead. I'll definitely look into that. Thank you

Two of my greys were going to be euthanised by their racing owners because they couldn't run fast enough, so I gave them their forever home - I'd call that rescued, wouldn't you?

But I know that the sad souls who were born without the sarcasm gene will get annoyingly confused and potentially start a comment war between the people who say I was joking and the people who say I wasn’t joking and the people defending the first people and the people defending the second people and the people defending the people who are defending the people.
