    Doc returns to the farm property to find a long list of problems. I takes 6 long days just to get it under control. New projects and fixing old ones. The lawns are overgrown and now have lawn fungus. The garden was full of weeds and had to taken down and replanted.

    I’m letting my Bermuda lawn grow a little tall during spring thru early summer. Maybe couple weeks into summer, then I’ll scalp it. Makes me sad going from deep green and lush, to brown/yellow…but man, the grow back is great, keeping it short rest of year

    Julia Child used to say that you never should apologize to your guests if you felt you messed up the food, they are there to see you and probably won't even notice. Same goes for videos, it's no big deal, we all have things goin on, and it's hot now (i.e. hard to get a lot done outside). Cheers!

    What is your consideration when seed is down. Then deciding to mow again before germination. Surely this kills / destroys the seed?

    • @gspencer123
      @gspencer123 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Between the core aeration and not bagging, I don't think there'll be any issues with mowing pre germination. Just my guess.

    Hey Doc,
    Have a general question on the reel mowers hoping you can answer even though it’s not related to this video. Been contemplating getting one but our yard is not really level, to the point I have to cut our Bermuda at 2-2.5 inches to avoid circle scaring. Would I have issues with the reel mower with this or would it not be that much of an issue due to the way the blades cut?
    Appreciate ya sir!

    Not sure if I understand you correctly but you plan to have your chickens free range in the vegetable garden? BAD IDEA! Chickens will destroy your garden! You need to free range them before you plant anything.

    I am trying to establish a new bermuda lawn by my pond, previously covered with natural growth of miscellaneous weeds and grasses. How do you combat weeds by a pond without hurting the natural ecosystems of the pond? I am looking for the same appearance as you have in this video at your farm, right down to the dock! I would also like to know how you built your dock if you wouldn’t mind sharing 😊
