The mostly hidden and half-hidden details in the rock work. Still in keeping with the storylines and characters. That magic mirror and the Cheshire Cat! The decision to have the dragon represent Maleficent, breathing “smoke “. How in the world did they ever put this together so quickly? Incredible.

I'm old. I've been in the pre-80's Fantasyland many times, walked on the Pirate ship/Tune restaurant, been behind the skull falls, etc. This one is far beyond that, it's not a recreation, it's way better. I'm a bit envious of everyone who's been there. Maybe someday....

As a Disney fan in my fifties and a mum of four I also had a tear in the eye when we saw Bambi snuggled up with his mum as well. Love that Tom is not only a big fan of Disney but he isn't completely US centric. I watched another vid about Fantasy springs and my first thought was the Peter Pan area was so like Paris which we love, noone else seemed to notice this so thanks to Tom for showing my "local" park some love.

I admire Tom's respect for Japanese culture, the rules of the Tokyo Disney Resort, and other guests!
In the spirit of Tom's upcoming Honest Review, I've got to admit that this version of Arendelle feels both better and worse than the one at Hong Kong. Pros for Hong Kong: "Summer Snow Day" is such a fun idea; the lake frames the castle; the distant hills create a perfect backdrop; the Playhouse in the Woods provides interactivity with Ana, Elsa, and elements of Frozen II; the village has more shopping and dining; the Sliding Sleighs is a great junior coaster. Pros for Fantasy Springs: the E-ticket attraction isn't just a clone of Frozen Ever After; the castle is full-size and serves as a restaurant. I really feel that neither one is the "best" version of Arendelle. I would honestly have preferred to see Hong Kong get an entire land dedicated to Tangled, and Fantasy Springs get the ultimate, complete version of Arendelle. But either way, I think this is a home-run for Tokyo DisneySea.

45:00 - "I don't know where Tinkerbell is". Right in the middle of the shot. I'll bet in person you can't see it but watching at home on a screen the light may look different. We can all see her in front of Pan. She's carved as a silhouette, not with all features. You can see her silhouette in the right side of the arch, just in front of Peter and right above the green stuff at the bottom.

Those are stalactites that are hanging down above Bambi and his mother. I remember the name of them because, in a very weird phrase my geography teacher once said, you put your tights on before your trainers (or sneakers), so the stalactites form first and then form the stalagmites, which grow upwards from the ground. Where they join, they form a column. You can see a column to the left of Bambi. :)

The pirate ship and skull rock is what I grew up with at Disneyland! We would refer to the ship as the "tuna boat" because the quick service dining on the boat sold tuna sandwiched and salads. Now this looks amazing. For some reason, lots of Disney online forums live under the delusion that the company exists in an unbroken chain of magical leadership from Walt himself to the current year. They defend bad decisions because acknowledging missteps and failures would contradict the cult. Let’s call it “sunken cost syndrome.”
Then you see something like this from the OLC and the Japanese division of WDI. It’s beautiful.

Tinkerbell is a light coloured rock underneath Peter. I'll bet there's a nod to the crocodile too in the pond underneath. And did you notice the rocks behind the Cheshire Cat face are purple and pink to make his body? These little details are excellent! I will have to visit one day. My local park is Paris, I live in the UK, and it's been years since I've been able to visit.
Edit: Also, as a Brit, not sure how I feel about Yorkshire puddings in the Peter Pan meal, were they good? I'm so used to our country taking others cuisine and putting it with food it was never meant for that I now understand how it feels! How weird! 😂

We see what they can only come up with here after years of construction in Epcot when they took out the foundation to make planter land. Maybe they need to do like Japan and have another company that actually cares run the parks in the U.S.
