So sad to see the state of that city. Seems like all west coast cities from San Diego to Vancouver are rapidly deteriorating.

Tijuana is probably the worst of all the western cities. From worst to least worst in the west I’d say:
      1. Tijuana
      2. Portland
      3. San Francisco Bay Area
      4. Los Angeles
      5. Sacramento
      6. Seattle
      7. Vancouver
      8. San Diego

It's just to dangerous walking downtown at night with your camera. So many shootings. It's nice you do the videos and they are excellent, but Portland at night. I can't stress enough how dangerous it has become.

It’s not that dangerous. They’re also in old town and most of Portland isn’t this bad. There are not “so many shootings” I’ve lived here two years and walked around town at 3am and I never was bothered. Quit telling lies

@@DemonicEmpowerment You can round them up for illegal behavior like Evgenii mentioned, and then institutionalize them and force them to get clean through rehab. You're doing them no favors by allowing them to live like this, and it's destroying the city's image, bringing less tourism (which was a big part of Portland's economy, since it's a very weak city for major corporations).
This is the product of pathological altruism. Where helping people equates to meeting their most basic needs without putting them on a long-term path to autonomy and self actualization. Virtually all of the chronically homeless have either drug dependency issues or are refusing to take medication for psychosis. They aren't "down on their luck"--those sort of people usually find a way out of homelessness within a few months.

Portland’s “China Town” was always more of an idea than a real thing. It has also always been adjacent to the worst part of downtown since the 1970’s. They did recently add the Chinese Garden but prior to that is was just a collection of Asian Restaurants and an official designation.
