    For the modern Indian, who is highly interested in what goes into the makings of his/ her vehicles, this kind of video, explained in simple language, by a real solid expert such as Mr Velusamy, is such a great pleasure to view and learn from. Thanks Sid for bringing this interesting and important information to us. I am a happy customer of Mahindra vehicles for many many years and still remain one, with the new Thar. Thank you Mahindra for pioneering in this segment and creating new bench marks. I feel proud that an Indian car is pushing many segments all at once. This video helps me better understand about the internals and design of XUV 700. Transparency creates trust and that is exaclty Mahindra is doing. While competetors are creating colorful ads and social media campaigns to promote their vehicle, Mahindra stands out in showcasing their growth and innovation in this segment. It's high time we need to support Indian brands by buying Indian owned products so that they generate more revenue for future proofing R & D and for further aquisitions on the lines of JLR,Norton, KTM, etc.
      Let our capital circulate within our country, avoid capital drain from our economy. Let Indian brands make more profit. There is no need to give our hard earned money as profit to japanese chinese Koreans Germans etc...

The ultimate winner is the consumer. For the first time in our automobile history, the top two SUVs (in terms of safety and riding dynamics) in two different segments will be from two Indian Manufacturers. Brilliant! Mahindra doing it, not only structurally strong vehicle, but the small things that makes your car last longer. The technical work gone into making this car, be in the engine suspension electronics is just mind-blowing. And the explanation by Mr. Velusamy is really good. This only goes to show that India can make good products at reasonable prices, but we just love charging premium for something that should be a given. The Safari with no bells and whistles bloody cost more than this. I understand the cost of materials have gone up ...but not that up that you start charging premium for everything that is supposed to be there in the first place. Im no fan of Mahindra, but seeing that they're willing to go the extra mile for the customers safety and at a affordable price, is really commendable. Im not car reviewer, I will say it, the Manufacturer who shall not be names is Maruti. The audacity they have to charge the customers with sub par quality cars and also justifying that its safe by "their standard" is just appalling. Mahindra sells cars in Australia and Im sure they have the same built quality as the Indian ones, unlike Maruti Suzuki and Nissan and Kia to name a few. With this new approach, Maybe I will after all buy a Mahindra. The design is a bit loud though....just to add...not subtle like the Safari

    Help me understand one thing :
    The front "trident" junction for impact force spreading - A pillar, floor member and the member on the door top sill - isn't there going to be a gap between the door and the shell ? (Otherwise you can't open the door). Then how will a part of the impact get transferred to the door top sill member ? Is it a dwi-dent (two) initially and later if the shell jams against the door, the 3rd one comes into play ?

      Hey Venkatesh, great question. The steel flexes and then comes back to normal position. This is why it is extremely important to have flexibility in high strength steel. 70 to 75% of total force goes via SIL. The door mid reinforcement takes 15% and top A-pillar-cant rail takes another 15%. Hope this helps?

    Hi Siddharth, I see the ring structure has beams on the roof as well. Any idea how this is managed in the variants with the panaromic sunroof ? I saw the second vehicle showing the different steels was the one with the panaromic sunroof. Are there significant changes for this ?

    • @carandbike
      @carandbike  Před 2 lety +1

      Thats a great question. And here's the answer SVP gave to another viewer who also asked it:
      Around the panoramic roof they have created a ring structure and this ring is again connected to individual rings. If you see it up close, you can see bulge around it. Hence it is very stiff.

    First of all we buy Mahindra because we want to advance Indian vehicle, but as soon as you people met each other in this video why am I ashamed to greet each other like this Mukabji, is this emotion in me? Mahindra is not judging in any way, if you are also indigenous with culture, then everything will progress through culture, by the way, it is good to hear from you people and you people have done a great job Jai Hind
