Hey my name is Kenny Smith. I believe I may have two meteorites. I found one while excavating to build my home in upstate SC in a township called Lake Wylie. This sample was for about 3 feet deep in red clay. My equipment hit it and I was concerned it was a pipe or some underground utility component. The other sample was picked up from a home that I was appraising for the bank. Both attract a magnet both are heavy for their size and both have nickel.
I checked out your video this morning because 15 minutes ago I spotted an extremely unusual rock which I thought might be Bassant but it looks like it’s been burnt to a point that the surface has melted. It’s also magnetic and where this crust is lifted there’s rust and small microbubbles…

I was fishing off Cape May, New Jersey on a commercial clam boat. When this item came up from the bottom of the sea it looks like a meteor or maybe some kind a rock I’m not sure but it’s black smooth on one side in the other half is almost like a dark yellow goldish color.
I found an Interesting rock on my old playground that looked similar to the second to last rock that he threw out... If is in middle Tennessee, but the weird thing is that there is volcanic glass that is scattered all over the playground... small fragments and I was in trouble and was sitting on a bench and I’d figure that I would find something if I dug a small hole beneath me with my hands and I had found a rock like this. :3 idk I lost it

I do blacksmithing and have a very high end oven for melting metals. I wanted to see if i could make a fake meteorite that could be tested and passed off as a real one. I would highly doubt that It would pass testing How would you go about the widmanstatten pattern Regardless of the nickel iron ratio or exterior characteristics
@@Spacepeanut80 Like i said it was easy. If you drop it 1 degree a minute it allows for individual crystallization for each metal. The exterior characteristics were made using a high temp ceramic mold. All the ingredients i used were a mix of granular/powder. The whole process took a couple days. The exterior crust was flash heating the outside and dunking it in water several times.
