I just when to Walmart last weekend and I end up with 4 of them great combo and the price was perfect I have all bunch of lews the I spend alot of money on them the quality is good it have a smooth reel feeling I only pay $30 ea $120 4 combos can't beat that very happy with this and I can tell you 10 out of 10 everything looks good strong and good quality mine are 7' go out and find this combo
$75 here in NY, except one Walmart near me has a sale for $45. I bought a Ozark Trail otx baitcaster for $65, because I didn't wanna pay the $75. Then seen it for sale when I went to another Walmart last night. So I'm thinking of returning the Ozark Trail otx for this one. I have a abu garcia black maxx and love it.
@@greatamericansurvival I think I'm going to, the Ozark Trail otx is nice don't get me wrong it cast great. But I know how well Abu Garcia is, and don't know much about Ozark Trail. I'm afraid it's gonna break on me when out fishing. As I know my black maxx won't, as I've caught a few heavy fish on it last year. Just sucks the gear inside got torn up somehow. But then again it was my first baitcaster, and didn't know you're supposed to oil them.

Black and grey win grips would have made this that much better, I like the Lews xfinity bait caster better for that and the faster retrieval but this one is 2nd or 3rd in my collection of bait casters, not gonna spend $200 for a combo when these do just as good as those higher end combos
Good choice, I swapped out the Mono for 12 lb Flouro but have considered put on 30-50 lb braid. If you do let me know how it works for you. Thanks for taking time to comment. Cheers.

I bought 4 for 30 here in ny I have a tackle problem I did the same with the shimano caius I watch for deals I’ll never personally use them as I have higher end gear but something tells me I’ll be that grandpa and dad that makes it hard for people when you pass away 🙃🙃🙃

The biggest negative about buying anything from walmart the people don’t give a dam. I had a Lews rod shipped to my house and the rod tip was broken and it wasn’t even in the package. Meaning it was broke when they packed it up to ship out.
I picked one up at Walmart for $25 a few weeks ago. I figured for the price, why not add another combo to my arsenal. For the price, I like it. Landed a 2lb 11oz largie with it. My only complaint is the reel is not comfortable in my palm. Kinda feels like an edge is digging into my palm above the brake dial. But I'm happy with it for what I paid.
Exactly. I’m not a big fan of mono to start with. Thought about seeing if I can throw some frogs around on like 30-40 pound braid. I don’t usually go down to 20 it’s so thin I’ll backlash and days over for that reel.
Skip this one people!i got it yesterday 10 casts ot broke.its glued on and not threaded on where youd nornal tighten to hold the reel.haf mine 3 hours and returned it
That sucks. Only issue I had with mine so far was had to replace the line. Put 12 pound Flouro carbon on it. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories, of the being damaged when purchased from Walmart. Anyone else have an issue like this let us know.
I understand that it can be such a pain while fishing. But I will say that once you get them dialed in they allow you better control fish especially when fishing cover or lay downs where you need the extra backbone that you just don’t get from spinning gear setups. I have the old version of that (6'9") and this one is on order. These are amazing combos.. I honestly prefer these to most I have used in a long time.

Blackmax is great combo, but if you can return it and get the vengeance I would. I caught a 5 pounder last week on mine on a Texas rigged Senko

I'm always useing Abu Garcia for baitcasting but spinning I would use Pfluger
