Very well-directed scene. The person conducting the test is clearly frustrated. He thinks Freddy is fucking with him, meanwhile Joaquin is playing it very genuine. Freddie’s mind actually is going to those sexual places.
Amazing what some time will do to the social identity of the world sometimes. When this movie came out it didn't feel like everyone was at war with one another. But anyway, this scene makes everything look kind of different with the hindsight of Joker in our view.

I made a comment about it awhile back on the other, higher-viewed version of this scene. But you're still right, not many people seem to find the connection funny. This could easily be a scene from Joker.
not a fan of the Joker movie itself outside of Joaquin's performance, but I do wish more people newly introduced to him and his acting work would look into some of his performances like this
