I found a long time ago a bunch of beautiful baby items just like these in the dumpster of a donation place. We packed a car and a van full. We knee someone in need and it was gone in a flash.
The stuff you got out of Target are displays. My daughter and I live in Denver and we found a roll-off full of baby department stuff. We got a $200 stroller still in the box.😎👍🏾

The new style bassinets look like large laundry baskets . My friend has a highchair that vibrates, seat warmer, the tray warms , plays music and reclines. This is what I am aware of, it may also clean the house, shine the car and save the world .
The mamaroo bassinet retails for over $379.00.

@@curbsidejunkies target is redoing baby sections, items in dumpsters are displays and NOT manufactured in the same way as retail items. Trust me… I am employed here.
When I was a newly wed my great uncle was the attendant at the dump where he lived. It was located in an affluent lake community and lots of people got rid of things just because they wanted the newest things. They knew my uncle salvaged and sold items so they would pull up to his little shed office and give things to him. My first vacuum came from the dump and I got a very baby stroller from there too. I love to read and got tons of books from him.

the shirt just use a sewing machine or overlocker and re sew it back up the side. if need be add in a strip of black or dark blue fabric adn cut the seam the other side and add in a strip that side too. wouldnt know any difference.

Needle and thread work wonders. You don’t always need new you can mend it and it will still work as a shirt.

I found a ton of stuff just like that in the Walmart dumpster a few years back. The display is the same as you buy in the box, sold it all. Never got one complaint and I found like 9 car seats.
Displays are not sellable merchandise. This big box store will not sell displays or even sell them on salvage pallets. They must be disposed of. You’d be better off using a returned item rather than a display.

When you find a lot of stuff and there's an issue with security, etc, one of you jump in and the other go park elsewhere while you fill up a bunch of boxes. Then txt for the other to come and get you.

So happy you saved those baby items. They will go to babies who truly need them. Thank you for grabbing them. If the treats are not expired a no kill shelter in your area that has cats would love them. If they are out of date look for a group that looks after a farrel cat pride and I am sure they would take some of them too. With some in the blessings box they will benefit so many cats. Keep up your good work and be safe.

My family still don't belive what can be found in a dumpster where are you from..things and food...because in my country stores keeps dupsters it the store, not even outside with a locker on. I'm so angry they trow so much every day. I am glad you manage to save that stuff

I dive in Alaska and not in grocery stores (they all have compactors) so during the summer I don’t have to endure the stench that comes from heat and rotting perishables! The closest thing that I can relate to is those darn pet store dumpsters and they can certainly pack a punch! 🤢
I still go through them since they seem to often have the best goods!

glad you’re taking some at treats to the blessing box. Particularly seniors who might be using the box for themselves so they can feed their companion cat would love to find treats for it. Pet pantries are a thing in our area in NC so financially challenged seniors don’t have to choose between themselves and their companion animals, which are sometimes their only companion with spouses and children gone.
I was told they do not completely assemble displays,so check everything well.
Maybe u could list the baby stuff for sale for gas $'s. Gas to Dumpster Dive is expensive.
Staci you picked the cheaper of the two bassinets for your favorite one ($140.00) 🤣. The Graco "Pack 'n Play" Rock 'n Grow Playard goes for $250.00 at Walmart. The MamaRoo sells for $375.00 at 🎯. So with the car seat and the rest of the baby things you scored right close to a $1000.00 if not more. I would say that was a Fantastic Score. I would think it would be worth losing a shirt and wet shoes for a score like that. Much Love and Prayers heading your way 💞

Back in the 1970's I knew someone who worked at a woolco. It was a department store. And when they'd toss things they let him take whatever he wanted because the stuff was written off as a loss. One time it was parts of Christmas trees another time dog treat.pretty much a year's worth. Another time near deaths door plants. We put together a couple trees out of the parts, the dogs at treats and about 90 percent of the plants lived with a little care and watering regular. So, I wish stores would let employees do that again. Better than destroying what was written off and people know people that can use stuff. We were appreciative of what we were given .

It's awful when they destroy things, when I was a store manger I never did good I knew if they were running to get it out of the dumpster then they needed it and I'd give what I could to those who were in need cuz that's the way it should be, so wasteful it's so sad. only way plantains are yummy...slice them and fry like you would potatoes for potato chips..pink sea salt...lived my entire life in southwest Florida, among Cubans...who taught us how to make them
