Remember Old Coney very well. Me grandpappy took me there quite often during the summers. His house was only a couple of miles up the road (Sutton Rd.) on S. Eversole. Haven't been there in 40+ years. It was an awesome place. They removed the rides in '71/'72 and created "Kings Island" up north. I don't remember the rides at Old Coney but my pop took me to Kings Island many times, that was awesome as well! Saw many concerts at Coney's Riverbend Amphitheatre! Grateful Dead 3X. 👍👍👍🥃🍺

My grandpappy used to take me acrossed Kellogg Ave. on the corner to a bar/grill everytime afterwards, him at the bar, me on pinball. Great food. I never expected Coney Island to disappear!☹️ I used to go to a camp in the mid '70's named "Fort Scott", great place. Apparently it's been turned into a subdivision years ago! I've been living on the west coast for 35 years now, I see pictures of downtown Cincinnati & don't even recognize much. The Kroger building & Carew Tower where my grandpappy worked as a criminal lawyer!

Yea unfortunately it was never declared a historical site so the pool is gone 😔

​@@GlennyRidesI basically grew up there. Sad. My understanding is that it's the owner who pushed for this, at least that's the rumor. Don't know if it is the same owner as when me grandpappy took me there because he knew the owner very well. We always went for nada! It is what it is! 👍
