I don’t think there’s anything to support the idea that “most actors” don’t remember like their most beloved roles one decade later I can’t even think of one example of that, where someone brings up a classic thing someone’s in and they don’t know what it is Bc they forgot

The thing is, I saw an interview he gave about 5 years ago where he said how grateful he is for that role because most actors his age don't get a second life with a new generation audience. So I think he really is appreciative of all these bits, so I'm sure he remembers them better than a lot of other roles.

But yes, at least he doesn't act like he hates his fans for enjoying any of his roles like some actors do.
Back In the 80's, a toddler Lucy Devito made friends with my older sister at a Japanese restaurant in Key West. Danny Devito being a nice guy that he is, invited my family to have dinner with his family so the girls could keep playing together.

Danny is such a humble guy. Most other celebrities act like it's creepy when people do this, while missing the irony on them thriving on being worshiped by fans. Danny's just happy to have fans that love him so much.
I agree. When i was a kid, the first movie i ever saw Danny devito in was Matilda. Even if he played a mean dad character, i just couldn't help but enjoy his performance as matilda's dad. The second movie i saw where he appeared was Batman Returns. As a kid, i didn't know that he was the penguin, but as i grew up, i later learned about that and i was amazed with the amount of detail in the makeup they put on danny. He did an amazing job as the penguin 😃

@@MamadNobari its not creepy though, Danny understand how much of an iconic figure he is, anyone who's as iconic as he is wouldn't find it creepy, they would understand that when you get to that level your basically iconography of pop culture, you're going to end up being everywhere.

I met Lucy on the set of a film and I didn’t know she was Danny DeVito’s daughter until after we parted ways - she is such a lovely person!
I sat next to Danny for about 15 minutes in Whistler while we were both waiting for our separate ski instructors to show up. I did not realize that I was sitting next to Danny until late in the day when the ski staff were talking about Danny being in the lodge.

I love how much he loves all of his previous roles, especially his Penguin.
This is why Danny DeVito is such a beloved celebrity. He genuinely enjoys this stuff and loves how his career, even with ups and downs, has been generally quite the storied thing.
I know there will be many a tear shed when he passes and I'll likely cry a little too as I grew up watching DeVito in so many things and he'll ALWAYS be the Penguin of Batman villainy to me. Best part of that movie.
Before Danny discovered acting, he used to cut hair at a relative’s salon in Asbury Park, NJ. My aunt used to get her hair styled by him, he called himself Mr. Dan!
She was in a couple episodes of it's always sunny, a waitress that waits on Danny and a passerby on the street that talks to Mac. Great interview!

I've always loved Danny DeVito since I was a kid (43 now). Then I found out years back he's not only a huge Mike Patton fan, but the two are good friends. He's even graced the Faith No More stage on several occasions with quick walk-ons...lol...apparently his son turned him on to one of Patton's side projects, Peeping Tom, and he was compelled to reach out to Patton and meet him after a show him and his son went to. DeVito's one of a kind!
