Oh my gosh. Thank u so much. I've been sewing for years on my mums very old wooden singer. Now I've got my own modern one & I've started to use it a lot recently & been having these issues that you've just resolved. Can't wait to play with my machine again with my new knowledge. Thank u
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You are a savior!
You are welcome 🙏🏽
All you videos a help ....sometimes one just despairs because of not being able to locate what the problem is and then it’s always something quite simple ....thank you
You are very welcome. I’m glad when it comes together 🙌🏽
Many young girls gave up sewing because all these little frustrations. They will learn well from your valuable tips and tricks lessons.
Great video on sewing machine basics. Clear and concise as always. Thank you.
Thank you so much,so easy to under stand.
We've been moving, jostling things from storage to home, etc. I was worried my machine may have suffered because my boys aren't always gentle, when they need to be.
I live in a small town that only has one repair shop. It's been closed because of Covid. It's so helpful to have ways to check my machine for simple issues, like the tension dial having been moved, before I drive 100 miles, round-trip, twice, & spend a fortune having it serviced. THANK YOU!
You are welcome. I’m glad I could help
@@AbisDen It is. Thanks, again. I feel much more at ease about using my machine, now.
It seems to always be the easiest things that throw me for a loop. You made it so easy to understand, as always. Now I know what to look for-and I will. You're the best! 💜

Love to know how you get on. Good luck!
Thanks ABI,. T machine has skipped a couple of stitches whilst sewing my son a shirt. I recently changed a needle - tomorrow I shall check that it is inserted correctly. Love your videos! X x
Did it work?
@@AbisDen I think so. I was using a Necchi Rossi 200, but I changed to a Singer Tradition, and finished shirt off with that. We t back to the Rossi for buttonholes and sewing buttons on though. Worked fine for those. Love your tutorials hon, keep them coming. Thank you X x
Hi Abi. Thanks for this video! I have an issue with my Aldi Necchi. The cover slide plate won't pop up when i try to change the bobbin. What can i do?
I see you have got an inspector 😊, what is the name of this lovely cat ?
Thank you Kenneth. We call her Bee. She’s named after a similar looking cat on Studio Ghibli 🐾 , she’s my little helper, though she loves my bobbins 🥴
Do you have any advice on how to make sure the hook is at the top when you finish the stitch? It seems really hard to do even when sewing slowly.
Turn the hand wheel toward you until the thread take up is at the highest point 😊
I have a problem with my threads nesting when I am sewing thru elastic. What could cause this. Stitching is fine when sewing thru the regular fabric on my project.
You could try out a stretch needle, that should work 😊
