    Unless you have a 5-year-old-on-a-stick to put the nuts back on the fan's mount bolts, don't take that fan off. Lift the shroud up and shove the bottom back and the radiator will come right up out - worth the fiddlyness to keep skin on your hands. With the upper hose folded up and the lower just dead-drained it will take almost a jug of coolant to refill, not a whole one.

      You’re not kidding, I did the swap but trying to get the 4 nuts back on the fan has taken me forever. I had to stop for the night because it got dark and late and have to continue tomorrow. All for 4 NUTS!!!! Do not take it off, whatever you do

    Excellent video.
    Great how you point at the parts with your finger while you're talking so we know where to look.
    I used to be a tour guide in a museum and used a laser pointer for the same purpose.

    No need to remove the fan. The shroud has a removable lower section.

      Hello! On our case the fan shroud is one piece. Take well care!

    I have a 2000 nissan frontier Manual 5 speed. I bought it used.
    I was able to remove the Radiator without removing the fan clutch. The oil/ Tranmission lines on this truck are connected to the frame of the truck instead of the Radiator.
    Thank you for the heads up so I would know what to look for..
    Peace

    • @elchanojose
      @elchanojose  Před měsícem +1

      Hello! The price of a radiator replacement can vary to a few factors like if is a móvil mechanic or a shop. But this jobs can go from $200 up to $500 dollars depending on the mechanic or shop. Location o city also can make the price up or down due to the amount of shops available. Shop around or get at least 2 price quotes be for making your final decision of leaving it in one shop. Take well care!

    Does the radiator come with plugs for the transmission lines at the bottom, if you have a manual transmission?

    • @elchanojose
      @elchanojose  Před rokem +3

      Hello Robert! If you install a radiator on a manual transmission truck, you don’t need to put plugs on the transmission fittings. Is your choice to plug it or not, there is no liquid coming out of there. Transmission and cooling on the radiator are separated from each other so liquids don’t mix or leak. Take well care Robert!

      You dont have to take the fan off, you can remove the bottom of the fan shroud and then you are able to remove the radiator
