    Cip check into hardware stores here in the states they carry an idem called called "Door Bumpers" that screws into the base boards in houses and is long enough to protect the walls from doorknobs banging into them and knocking a hole therein.
    God Bless my friend.

    Thank you, just goes to show, you can always make a plan.. By the way, did you try Penn State for that screw chuck? You take care too

    • @CipsWoodChips
      @CipsWoodChips  Před 5 lety

      Howdy Val! Yes, Penn State is where I purchased the 1 3/8 inch expansion chuck, but no #2 morse taper chucks. I guess no one makes them anymore. Cheers

    Hi Cip, Great videos :-) I very much enjoyed watching them. I have a question. I am looking at buying a wood turning lathe. Never had one, don't know much about it. What do you recommend? I plan on turning essentially tool handles and small items, nothing large. Maybe small bowls at the most. Thank you for your help!

    • @CipsWoodChips
      @CipsWoodChips  Před 4 lety

      Howdy Alain! If you are going to turn tool handle especially lathe tool, you will need a medium lathe. The bed must be long enough for the longest handle/spindle you will turn. My medium lathe(full-size) is a Nova 1624, 6-speed. Jet also makes some very nice lathes. Your budget is an important factor. You might look at used lathes. They a very durable and turns often move up. I hope that helps; just my thoughts. Cheers

      Howdy Dan! Thanks for the question. I've been wanting to make more videos but it just has not happened. I started a second channel about other things I like to do; technology, e.i MIDI keyboards, music, microphones, drones, and computers: "Cip's Techi Tips"
      We have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. That also keeps us busy.
      I've been cleaning and organizing the shop/studio. Maybe I can start back on woodworking before the end of summer. Cheers.
