I may be wrong but I think Steve / Matteo played Caprice no. 5 not 24. Check out Marcin's rendition of no. 5 - it's stellar.

@@michaelgoyettemusic As others stated Marcin has a video recording with Caprice No. 5 from his home studio on his channel, which is certainly worthwhile, enjoyable amazing as with all of his arrangements, performances, videos.
Note: also there are posted videos of Marcin Petrzalek performing his guitar arrangement of Paganini Caprice No. 24 within Classical Guitar class performance competition in Poland at age 13.

Thanks for your live concert reaction! He does play Caprice #5 in studio live. One thing I noted early on in my marcin discovery, is that he is actually doing what Ralph Macchio was portrayed, and beyond, in the Crossroads movie.
