    From JimmyPage.com:
"17 Jul 1977. I played the Seattle Kingdome with Led Zeppelin
The Kingdome, an inflatable dome in Seattle, was an indoor venue that held 70,000 people. It felt surreal, as we entered the building through an airlock door. Here is a section of my solo spot that features the theremin and the bow and the exploration of both. It's lengthy but gives an example of my avant garde journey with this sonic architecture."

This video of Jimmy page is awesome! I just learned about the Theremin tonight in History of Popular Music at Full Sail University. The Theremin is an electronic instrument that was created in 1919 by Leon Theremin. Its amazing to me that the Theremin is still being used after 96 years! This is an electronic instrument that I could have a lot of fun with. I had always thought that Jimmy created all of those spacey sounds with his guitar. I love knowledge.

Thank you, i hate that people find the need to hate on a master musician because he dips his toes into a less widely known domain, and people get all defensive about it, thinking they're better because they know something the other guy doesn't. its pretty hostile, primitive, and counter productive for someone to lash out at someone for experimentation.

Jimmy Page is one of those guys who came up with some of the most simplest and sometimes complex riffs which became not just good songs, but MASTERPIECES. Thats the difference they dont see

Anyone who attacks Jimmy Page is a musical moron! Even if you don't like his music, he had such a huge impact on rock and roll, and especially rock guitar playing. Jimmy went his own way and no one has ever been able to follow.

Imagine how much fun it would be to shake, rattle, and rock an arena with a theremin, a delay, guitars, amps, and a bow with 50,000 watts of power. Zeppelin was known for playing loud. The audience was feeling every tremble Page inflicted on them.

Respect must be given to the true Thereminist who puts in hours of practise for the instrument or their choice. However, Jimmy is drawn to playing more than just guitar, and if people receive enjoyment from his efforts, then the richer they are for it. I myself have been richer for listening to both...

Well said friend. Page is a master technician and producer.Few people knew what a Theremin was when he introduced it into the song "Whole Lotta Love". We accepted the music of the artist at face value and we went on our way. Why do some have to complicate things? I saw this very performance in Indianapolis Indiana at Market Square Arena. Page was phenomenal that night.

I have been experimenting with a theremin, and with the Kilpatrick audio PHENOL for a few days now. I have been running each through a guitar amp; but I want to get a bass amp, split the signal, and then run the signal through both the guitar amp and the bass amp simultaneously. I've noticed that my amp just doesn't produce the lower frequencies that are coming from the synth and the theremin.
Anyway, if you play bass, you should get a theremin and run it through your amp! Could sound sick.

The Theremin is a fascinating and little-known instrument.
Jimmy Page does his "job" as a showman and pulls off effects and bad effects with suggestive results.
Personally I prefer a more "classic" use of the Theremin, an example of which I put the link: czcams.com/video/lY7sXKGZl2w/video.html
(...needless to point out that I don't know if Jimmy would ever be able to sing like Katika, while for her it would be very easy to come up with the same sounds as Jimmy)
