The BBC are a disgrace!!!! I’m struggling to live and survive, along with thousands of others. I work full time like a cart horse and still struggle each week to buy basic food groceries to eat Oliver Twist style meals, constantly falling more into debt and being chased by bailiffs etc demanding payment at my door that I haven’t got!! I’m trying to keep working hard as a divorced single white British male and keep my head above water but unfortunately each day it’s grinding me down majorly and my mental health deteriorates more each day. I hate having to mention and admit the state of my poor mental health as i have pride and want to keep working and support my ex-partner and children the best way I can. I receive no benefits or claim anything due to poor mental health and low wage. I used to receive child tax credit etc until 2017. Then 2018 a few days before Christmas I received a letter from the tax office saying I owed the nearly £12,000!!!! Their reason stated on the letter said one word, Miscalculation!!! That dated back to 2011. 7-8yrs later. I tried contesting and complained that it was my error or miscalculation as I have always provided my honest income and status etc. it was all their miscalculations which I don’t believe to be true. They started deducting 25% from my wage every month, I contested years ago and now 6yrs later they’re still taking a reduced amount of 13% from my crap low wage each month. So to hear Huw Edwards received a £40k pay rise up to £470,000 a year after paying for someone’s crack habit from the BBC salary paid by public money after whatever sexual gratifications he was exposed of destroys me even more and the other huge salaries the rest of these shite presenters earn is a joke. I could definitely present much interesting and better radio and tv shows than they do. I will no longer ever pay for a tv license and would definitely be happier if they want to prosecute me and send me to prison! I might then at least be able to get a PlayStation as I have absolutely no chance of being able to buy even an old Sinclair ZX Spectrum computer.
You hit the nail on the head when you said you were single white and British who works hard and pay your way. If you were a black African illegal immigrant with 4 wives that you left back in Africa and had been picked up mid channel by the RNLI trying to illegally enter England with no passport or means of identification and then delivered safely to our shores you would now have free accommodation, free health and dental care, a brand new I phone, benefits coming out of your ears and free pocket money every week to buy booze, drugs and ciggies.
