Alright.....now download the stems and try mixing it yourself :) ➡samply.app/player/A4cHq2koV3msfeUTIUzX/
I'll give it a shot
Thank you so much for the stems! Wanna know how it would sound after some processing with Aberrant DSP and the free Melda plugins.
@@MoeThermodynamics yeah I was thinking during the video that you could prob get very similar results using Digitalis by Aberrant
@@aquieteveningmusic There's also SketchCassette which basically emulates any type of tape degradation imaginable
@@MoeThermodynamics I'm a big fan of SC as well!
Bruh, the amount of work and sheer passion you put into these is inspiring. What you can accomplish in your apartment is incredible
Thanks man!! Yeah dude the amount of stuff you can do in the box (both video and audio wise) is incredibly these days, I get being pessimistic about the state of the modern creative industry, but the upside is the amount of tools an individual has available to them is just so cool in 2023....tryin to be optimistic about the future lol
Seriously
literally the best produced 'home producer orientated' CZcams channel out there!
Please do put out the part two, I absolutely love these "reverse engineering the mix" videos. You deserve more views for sure, keep up the good work
Thanks man!! kk I'll rack that up as one vote for part two :)
@@AudioHaze make that two votes!
3 lol
@AudioHaze What you do for all the "small creators" is so awesome! You inspire to create with what we have, from where we're at!
Count it as one more vote :)
please a part two!!!!!
the plugin is goodhertz
I’m glad that you said this “is a small channel…at the time this was made”, because if you keep cranking out insanely awesome content like this, you will DEFINITELY see some serious growth! I’m watching the same channels we all are, and they’re all amazing, but I don’t think I’ve seen anyone reverse-engineer a mix like this!
Wow THANK YOU so much that means a ton!! Yeah I always wished someone made a series like this so I figured minus we’ll try it for myself :)
@@AudioHaze Bone apple teeth!
+1 to this
Ethan - I've been producing for 20 years, and am a big believer in "bedroom productions" for a thousand reasons. Thank you for doing such a great job explaining how/what is happening, and inspiring so many people that they can do great work with the tools they have.
HAHAHA Thanks dude! I slaved away for sooooooo many hours on this video, it really means a lot to have someone recognize my contributions. Ricky usually just tells me it was passable, and sends me back to the basement.
....that other comment is Ethan my roommate lol, I'm Ricky hahahah, regardless THANK YOU that means so much!! Hope to see you around in the coming vids :)
YOU ARE AN ANGEL TO ALL OF US HOME PRODUCERS KEEP IT UP BROTHER !!
THANK YOU BROTHER TRYING MY BEST
The babolat product (you said it right the second time - *babolot*) is actually a tennis brand and what you are using is called a "dampener," used to dampen the vibrations for the strings on tennis racquets, as the vibrations can cause serious elbow injury. Crazy to see two things I love come together!
Edit: Apologies! Just watched more of the video and realized that you covered what I said lol
bro, this channel deserves A LOT for the editing, knowledge to investigate and the time putted in each video to make it
Thanks dude!! Yeah the editing takes a ton of work for sure lol every time I decide to do an after effects shot I'm always like "I'm gonna do it because it'll be cool....but its gonna take so long" hahaha
love this, and I don't think that gatekeeping knowledge benefits producers as much as they think it does. Making great art takes a combination of knowledge/skill AND a great artistic vision for how to use it. The latter is the hardest part and not something you can really teach, so giving out plugin names etc isn't going to suddenly spawn a million top tier producers
This video is sensational. It's great how you go much further than most YT'rs, who'd likely seek the shallow part of the sound by only talking about plugins.
You actually analyze the PLAYING that goes into it as well, the hardware tricks that aren't just in a DAW.
Makes all of this very transferable to other styles, other playing.
The audio, video edits & deconstruction are just fantastic.
Wow thank you thank you! You have no idea how validating that is to the time I put into these, seriously thanks again. Even if you’re not trying to sound like Phoebe, I really try to make the general vibe about learning production skills that apply universally
I have no idea how you accomplished such snappy polished video editing without making it feel abrasive but you REALLY did it! immediately subscribed
LOVED this video, I learned so much and I love how analytical you are with all the components of the mix! So cool to watch the mystery of the mix unfold, with all the attention to detail (reading old interviews, watching their stories, etc etc). So excited for the next video
Please do a part 2! I absolutely love your stuff, you’ve helped me progress with my mixes and how I listen to music in general
This is an incredibly well put together video, with an astonishing amount of effort and diligence out into it that really shows. Amazing job
Incredible work man! You’re killing it with this series!
This was an incredibly well produced video! Congratulations! Loved the breakdown, your attitude, your humor, your passion!
I got the chills listening to your mix. Amazing vocal performance and mix, great job.
This video has to be the BEST song breakdown I've ever seen in my life. Thank you for doing what you do- you inspire us all to be so much better💕
Really appricaiate all the hard work. So glad I discovered your channel (I'm not even a fan of Phoebe Bridgers but was looking at rubber bridges). I think an in-depth look at pro recordings from an the stand point of an actual home studio (rather than the pro studio saying how things can be used at home) really has a place on here.
Dude, you are my new favourite youtuber! This is such amazing work... and the vocalist you got in to replicate Phoebe is absolutely insane!!!
Wow, so cool. I loved hearing the difference between raw and mixed. Thank you!!
These videos have genuinely been life changing for me. I have gained so much confidence in production just from watching them. Thank you!! ❤️
That makes me SO happy you have absolutely no idea, keep up the production work!! Would love to hear a production once you feel ready to share :)
@@AudioHaze thank you, I’m getting there 😅
100 percent awesome!!!❤ Respect for enduring the somic journey and nailing the vibe. Keep up the format of the vids. I’m here for it. ❤❤❤❤
Subscribed, we’ll support your work man! That’s a service to the community you’re doing here mate, thanks a lot. Outstanding work
I can't tell you how much I appreciate these videos. So inspiring to see all of the work you put in with such a beautiful and fascinating result. And I love how you showed the research to find the plugin - super relatable. Thank you!
Thanks so much my friend glad you enjoyed! Makes all the work worth it :)
I did not watch this episode before because I am not familiar with Phoebe Bridgers music, but this is my favourite episode of the channel in this new era of AudioHaze. Good writing, good edition and great rhythm and of course tons of information about what we love: production, mixing and the audio world. Congrats.
First video of yours I've seen. Loved every second. Great work!
ive been doing this a while now and dude - this video is probably the best resrouce i've ever seen for producers, engineers, musicians. if you ever doubt yourself - don't. i am glued to your screen. endless kudos to you!
Incredible work, my dude! I always learn something new when I tune into these. Thanks for demystifying the craft for newbies like myself.
Glad I could help out in some way!! Keep it up, I know production can seem intimating at first but it’s hella rewarding :)
This was so informative and inspiring! Thank you for putting the time and effort into creating this. So helpful for all of us producers working out of our bedrooms 🙏
Yeah glad I could help!! Now go write cool shit!!! 😁😁
Pretty outstanding content you created there. Not just the musical expertise, but the structure of the story and selling of the mission. Well done.
Great video BTW. Awesome production, playing, and killer vocals! 🤘😎
Absolutely nailed it bro. Great video, and a really fun journey you took us on. Keep up the fantastic work.
Thanks dudeeee :) I'll keep trying my best, sometimes at the expense of sleep lol
Yo this was so good! I totally appreciate your level of research and commitment to this. Just ordered a Babolat vibrakill thanks to you! Hope you get that sponsorship. Props to the killer video edit, too. Again, well done!
Thanks man!! Glad you enjoyed :) this is going to be so funny if Babolat gets confused by all these orders lol
Thank you for putting such effort into this fantastic tutorial/performance/story... You nailed it. Can't wait for more content. X
Wow, your version is amazing, well done indeed!!!!!! impressive work!!!! Jess's vocals are goosebump worthy!
as a musician who takes a lot of inspiration from Phoebe, not only was this an amazing help but it was also just such an amazingly made video. Keep it up!
Dude, your production value is getting INSANE! Loved the video and love seeing you grow!
Thanks man!! Appreciate you watching for however long you have!
Absolutely fantastic video once again. The work you put into this is insane and it's soooo worth it!
Amazing work man! Sounds great!
Love this vid! This is the sound I've been into even before knowing about Phoebe. That find with the tennis racket dampener is killer! Subbed!
Edit: also please do a part 2!
You’re a legend dude. I LOVE these videos. You don’t do anything half way and it shows. The thing I love about the vibrakill is that you get to maintain the intonation which always seems like something that takes a bit with the diy rubber bridges. Seriously this production is amazing. Thank you!
Thanks dude that means so much!! I will say depending on the width of your guitars neck and string spacing, it does press slightly on the low and high E, but it’s pretty minimal, more so on some guitars than others
@@AudioHaze of course!
Oh okay, thanks for the heads up.
Hell yes dude. Appreciate your work and willingness to share!
I love the whole format and the way your videos feel more like a mini course that should be charged for on like udemy compared to a lot of surface level and vague videos I’ve seen that don’t give me any info that I can actively APPLY. So seeing you try and struggle and figure it out is super inspiring and illuminating to me as a producer.
Absolutely amazing video! Thanks for all the hard work you put in; it really shows. I’ve got to check out that tennis vibration thingy, I’d love to see how it sounds on my Acoustasonic. Part 2 would be much appreciated!
Yeah the tennis racket thing works!! Its sold out on amazon now though lol, which is pretty hilarious
@@AudioHaze You made it out of stock on the company's website as well lol
Awesome video - nailed it! The research and attention to detail is phenomenal. You mentioned the importane of how close Phoebe is to the mic; I've found having the mic upside down, with the stand further away (might need a counterweight), really helps with this (see Phoebe's setup (5:03). Helps the singer feel much more comfortable getting up close!
Nice! Thanks for the advice, I've also heard similar positioning (and also raising the mic above the singers head a little bit) opens up the airways and makes a brighter tone actually :)
This is such an amazing, well put together video man. Like others have said, your passion project here is super inspiring, and I've learned a ton. Thank you for spending the time putting this together, and shoutout to the other talented individuals who assisted. 🤟
Your videos are another level of detail and quality. Stay consistent, I wouldn’t be surprised if you had 10x as many subscribers within the next year or two!
This is so good. I’d love to see part 2 breaking down the mixing process!
Yeah part 2 is definitely coming it seems like!
Yes!!!!!
please never stop making these amazing videos! Love your work!!
THIS IS SOOOO GOOD!! Seeing your process was so so SO SO insightful!!
Thank you so much for this video and what you do. It's really annoying that people gatekeep things and I appreciate what do you for the bedroom producers.
Thanks for checking the vid out in the first place!
I love everything about these videos, and are always so inspiring to watch (and be apart of 😜).
EYYYYY thanks for the rubber bridge rec dude you really saved the day
this video is STUPID awesome, I've been obsessed with that song and its production for so long.
Dude. This is awesome. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these videos. I hope to see part two.
Do you still edit your own stuff? If so you're getting really good at it. Keep up the good stuff.
This one was all me editing yes! AudioHaze also has an editor though, we split the workload and each take different videos
Duuuude, I can imagine how long these videos take to make. I'm usually clocking in a month+ on mine, too (props for the awesome 3D stuff, is that Blender?) I really respect all the effort you're putting in - this content is so original and has your unique perspective and voice. I know it doesn't always make the most sense when you work out the math of time spent vs. financial kickback, at least that's true for my channel right now. But keep up the good work and I'm sure things will work out.
Thanks dude! The hours are definitely intense, I will eventually how to make these videos in a more efficient way for sure lol, and its actually After Effects for the fancy shots! The 3D camera tracker is wild and super fun to play with
@@AudioHaze Yeah, I've had the same thought about efficiency. But at a certain point, there is no more efficient way. That's partly why you don't see many other people making this level of quality content - it ain't easy haha. Ahh After Effects, wow I thought it was a full 3D environment. Very cool.
so good, the passion is so evident
Thank you SO MUCH for these videos. Honestly. Love love love them. So helpful!! Would love a part two!!
crazy how close you got!!! actually like this version a little better even :D well done guys!
just found your channel today and every video just oozes style, i love it
you are incredible, so grateful I found your channel
massively appreciate your effort in doing this ❤
You just earned a new subscriber this is so excellent! the verbs on the vocal are spot on
Man, these series are great! Thank you.
Hey this is awesome. Glad I’ve found your channel. Appreciate the hard work.
Your videos are absolutely incredible. The amount of research and work is just unbelievable. Thanks!!
Amazing video. Production quality is fantastic all around, clearly this took a shit ton of work.
Absolutely fabulous video. I’ve learned so much watching this.
Phoebe’s songs and production fascinate me.
You, pouring your heart and soul into your videos is a true gift to us all.
Thank you for everything you do.
Thanks so much my friend! I'll try and get the pace up!
Great work, dude! Thoroughly entertaining and informative :) Can't wait for more videos!
Another beautiful job Ricky!! Great work! 👍
Been obsessed with Phoebe’s stuff since a buddy posted a Stranger in the Alps tune on Facebook in 2017. This does such an incredible service to bedroom producers who want to emulate that style. Amazing work!
You're on the right path with these, thank you for the inspiration!
These are my new favourite videos on CZcams they are so beautifully created thank you for all your effort and hard work!!
Let’s get that part two. I love this stuff. As a fellow engineer, it’s fun to go down these audio journeys with you. I always say what I’m hearing and I often end up saying what you say. Sometimes I don’t, and it makes me think. It’s a great chance to refresh and reinforce my memory.
this is sick!! loved seeing this process
love the quality of this video, thought you had millions of subs and was shocked to see 48k. great channel. 100% blowing up.
You just won a fan! What a amazing video, great timing, excellent investigation. Thank you!
freakin phenomenal video & final mix - thank you so much!!!
I love your channel! Thank you so much your videos are a pleasure to watch and so much fun
you’re awesome! thank you and everyone who was a prt of it for this video
That is amazing! I feel so inspired after watching these. Like you opened some doors for me in my process! Writing my songs and recroding soon so I am looking for that kind of videos! Thanks! Really amazing work.
Thank you so much for your hard work and for sharing all of these techniques with us! Watching these videos is helping me open my mind to different ways of producing!
Simply, thank you. This was so inspiring and eye opening, keep up the great work.
quickly becoming my favorite yt channel. such amazing effort
The work you put into these videos always pays off 👏👏 well done and the same to all the musicians who helped you!
Amazing work on this. Inspiring to see as a musician and as a content creator!
Loved this! Looking forward to part 2!!!
Alright sounds like part 2 is gonna happen! :)

What a wonderful video. Congrats and keep it up man!

THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY THANK YOU
So i put on garden song, and right away the effects and background sounds created such an atmosphere i needed to know what they did to the mix to make it sound so cohesive and warm. I searched garden song mixing and this came up. Perfect thank you!😊
What an insane amount of work! Great job team!
First time seeing any of your vids- thorough, entertaining, and quality. Glad I found your stuff, dude!!💜
I learned so much, what a great way to create that vibe! Thank you for the hard work!
YOU KILLED IT MAN GREAT JOB

That’s so amazing to hear wow thank you!! Hard for me to fathom someone considering my channel their favorite haha
This video was absolutely phenomenal
