- Updating your house numbers really has a big impact on your curb appeal, and it is an inexpensive and easy project to do yourself. I recommend taking a second look at your house numbers and updating them if needed before listing your home for sale. It can help your listing to stand out from the others in the neighborhood!

I Brought all the supplies tonight at Lowes....wish me Luck, 63 yr old Single woman in a relatively new house, where the builder added numbers inlayed in stone to all homes but mine. Hopefully, this will be nicer, plus adding a solar spot light to illuminate.

Hi Dawn! Send me a picture of your finished house numbers! I want to see! AmandaFallonHomes@gmail.com =)
I really like the diagonal one in your thumbnail. I'm wondering how to do that? And would I need a 20 inch board since I only have 3 numbers?
Thank you for your idea

How thick was your wood? I realized my wood isn’t thick enough so then I’ll need to cut through the wood for all the screws to be flush
Love this idea! Thank you! Where did you get the numbers?
Hi Kristy! Thanks so much! I got them at Home Depot! I will update the description with the link for you. Follow along on IG @AmandaFallonHomes =)

I don’t know if you are still active, but how thick is the picket? I got these supplies and part of the screws stick out the back and now I’m not sure how to hang it without pushing them back through!
Hi there! I did not drill all the way through the picket. I just predrilled so the screw would fit in tightly. You should be able to back out the screw so that it is flush with the back side of the picket. Hope this helps!
You can also use a hacksaw to trim off the little bit of excess screw.
Great idea! 👍🏼
It’s the little posts from the numbers that you push into the picket that are sticking out of the back! I didn’t use the right word before, I’m sorry!
Hi Makayla! I did not push them all the way through the board to ensure the backside can lay smooth. Some ridges will show from side view, but you can only notice this when close up and doesn’t bother me. Alternatively you can use a thicker piece of wood to hide the ridges. Just make sure the wood is pressure treated for outdoor use. 👍🏼
Paint 🎨? After after putting all those numbers and doing all that work. Makes no sense. 👍🏽
