He purchased 1,100 PUT options & the stock went up.
That would result in a loss because put options are a leveraged bet against the stock, ( a right to sell 100 shares at a given strike price).
E.g. if the strike is $50 and the stock went up to $80 you will have lost money because to exercise the option you have to sell it at $50.
He could’ve sold the put options though…

Jack i just posted a comment saying that the guys talking about the stock market looked sus, and going down there were more of these comments, all following the same format "hey i just started doing something and lost money can somebody help me?" followed by "i know xxxx guy he is great blablabla" and two or three other accounts saying "yeah my step-mother knows him hes good, legit, would trust my life to him" its quite obviously fake, and i doubt you audience would fall for it, but it just looks bad having these scammers in ur comment section
the name of the guy is P.A Gov and he got 56 likes idk how, and the other one is Chully Banks, i think there are 7+ accounts like these, and would be nice if you removed them but its ur choice

Put options are betting the stock goes down, and you can even buy options after close. So it was most likely shares

A $5,000 investment would have made me 8-figures; but as an attorney, I couldn’t have risked trading on my father-in-law’s company. If he bought put options and the stock price rose he would have lost money. Put options are betting against a stock. He would have either had to have bought call options or sold put options and bought them back after.
