If this was fiction, people would say it's bad writing because it's so unrealistic lol.

Damn! I can’t telling whether to think this is crazy that it sounds like a movie or amazing that it should be told in a movie. Nice analysis, Axelbeats.

The Canadian and Korean navy let go of such a gifted man to me that's the strangest part of the story. In my opinion we will never know what his true capabilities were and even his Iq thanx for posting this video.

It is so sad that they did that to save face. It is such a shame that the education system takes so many years away from people who could be saving lives; it more than just the navy that needed the story gone quickly. It is well within reason to say many can skim through a topic once and accomplish a task with ease, but for some one to accomplish all though surgeries without having to develop any muscle memories to prevent errors is miraculous. It is truly a great loss to think what could have been, if they would have admitted him into the medical profession, instead of hiding their own embarrassment.

There’s a story that Fred gave Steve McQueen the last rites. Given that Fred was seriously ill in 1980 when McQueen died, and that McQueen died in a hospital in Mexico, this seems pretty unlikely.

Wow, very interesting video. I've heard about the surgery somehow before, but the whole story of this man's life... wow. Interesting to say the least. And the proof just how there are very different ways to be intelligent.
I totally see how this story is fascinating and the guy put the pretending skills to a whole new level. Makes very good material for storytelling.
I would never endure the permanetr fear of being found out.
Thanks a lot for that nice dive into history!

I will also say too bad you could not do this today knowing technology and computers. but I also would think maybe that could work against what prevents people. from doing what he has done I don't know just speaking hypothetically.

I think he was great fit for abnormal psychology thou. 🤣 Hell even ethics are, i suppose he had ethics, weird ones but still.
That guy should really get a movie, its fascinating and even social commentary.
Honestly reminds me a bit of the series the pretender, that well its a shady group and he was a genius kis used in a lot bad stuff and fled, and on the run, and does imposter people to do help people n stuff. But well fiction. A real guy gotcaway with that?!
