Gods above I remeber watching 30 million times when it was released on youtube. I can still remember shedding tears of joy when this released. Good times :)
CS has the best character potrait in all of Blazblue in my opinion. don't get me wrong, the others are great too, but CS artstyle captures a lot of point for being not too anime and not too fighting game-ish.
Get the original version of Continuum Shift, go into the gallery, and you'll see, that this is the arcade opening. Not Extend, because they removed it from that one.
Dude, since I found about this fighting series I can't stop playing, its so awesome, I love Street Fighter and KOF, but this game is much more amazing. :D Also, I love Kokonoe even if she is not a playable character :P. Also, my favorite playable character is Arakune, the way he talks is just funny and cute (in a creepy way ;P).
@gozgaz1 At first, new characters were available on PS3 as DLC. AFAIK, a downloadable update is available since May 2011 for PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Continuum Shift brining in the changes from CS II. But since then, arcade version of Continuum Shift II received several updates, some of them will appear for the first time on PS3 in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend released this Winter.
@Eskimoss01 Yes it is. It's the arcade version opening. They changed it later for the console ports. But check the arcade version and you'll see it's the correct opening.
@Flunkorg This IS the opening, attract, intro or whatever you call it. I just verified side by side with the game and it's the exact same sequence (minus the ARC SYSTEM WORKS writing and appearing mouse cursor of course). Maybe the opening sequence is different in the console port (I don't know) but this one is from the original arcade version.
Thanks for posting this!! I absolutely love this game!! ^_^ I have it on the PS3, but I wish it was at Arcades in MY town! My town's arcade kinda sucks... :/
@Flunkorg At the time of publishing, no console port was planned so why would I write "arcade version" in the title as it was the only version existing at the time? By the way, the info text is written on the search screen. If you're looking for the console version opening, just do a search on "BlazBlue Continuum Shift console version", you'll find 400+ results. ;-)
I wish that ArcSys either made a patch that put this and the console opening into the Extend version, like how CP did, or at the very least, release a new "version". So we can keep record of these opening for posterity with just one copy, instead of having to hold onto and lug around 2 of them... Just so we can see all of the opening... If none of those, at least I hope someday they release a master collection bundle for this series, that also includes their spin off, Xblaze series. Of course, with all of the bugs/errors fixed (especially for Xblaze series...) and this and the console opening of the original CS into CSEx. I truly hope they be on the ball about that.
@yaoiqueen2627 Thats just the arcade version! The whole game is out in America and comes out in EU soon with online, all the original modes and a couple new badass looking modes to boot! :D
@Flunkorg "Now tell me, Whats the name of your video again?" "BlazBlue - Continuum Shift (opening)", it's written in bold towards the top of the page. "People who don't know about the arcade version (aka the majority)" People who don't know about the arcade version are not really interested in this game anyway. At worst, they'll discover that this was an arcade game before being ported to consoles, what's the problem then. I can't help if you can't read descriptions carefully.
@jjlupas11 i know its a month late but i would recommend this game in a heart beat. Although i havent played mvc3 ( or many fighters out of Mortal kombat) i do believe that this is a great fighter, and even helped me solidify my interest in the fighting genre. And not to mention if its $17 compared to mvc3 $50-$60 you at least wont lets say get angry that you spent 50 bucks and found out you didn"t like mvc3. any way hope i helped.
@Merrroco no you can only get that illegaly trough hacking the arcade version so its not really on PC and unobtainable to the normal gamer there are currently no plans for a PC version and the offical releases are on: Arcade, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
@halo3boy1 OMG! I didn't see it! It's funny because this is a video Arc System Works officially distributed to the press (hence the copyright text). I just checked and it doesn't happen in the real game.
@leodheme assuming you mean hazama's eternal coils of the dragon serpent, it's forward, moving to back, in a downward arc, so that you press the down button, then forward, then C
I would've loved it if someone had edited the Sonic Unleashed screenshot of Sonic's face into one of the parts where a bunch of pictures were being shown...
GREATESET game........ Better than GG(in A way) In CALAMITTY TRIGGER i bet No 1 sees that Sol badguy KY kiske and Judgement are in that game LITERALLY!! as well as a bunch of other hints and such from GG series.
@Merrroco 1 its piracy and altough i support it when its done right this is not done right, 2 its a not even a port and its not official so it does not count 3 i woud but i dont support piracy when its half assed and inaccesible to ppl like me so no
the arcade version's song, to me, is definitely better than the console version's opening song... I'm sorry, but i can't handle the way it begins... everything else bout the song is fine, just how it bgins, bleh...

Far and away my favorite game opening! It captures the intensity of the fights and the melancholy of the story so well...
Three cheers for Blazblue. xD
Video was amazing, music was amazing, and the game itself is even more amazing. Thanks for the upload. :D
Blazblue = Arc System Works' Devil May Cry.
CS has the best character potrait in all of Blazblue in my opinion. don't get me wrong, the others are great too, but CS artstyle captures a lot of point for being not too anime and not too fighting game-ish.
Don't know if you know this but the dude who did the portrait art is the same one who made this song, Daisuke Ishiwatari.
Get the original version of Continuum Shift, go into the gallery, and you'll see, that this is the arcade opening. Not Extend, because they removed it from that one.
best blazblue opening yet :')

@Lucario47 After. Here's the order:
- BlazBlue Calamity Trigger (Nov 2008)
- BlazBlue Continuum Shift (Nov 2009)
- BlazBlue Continuum Shift II (Dec 2010)
But is it because of the RAGE, or because of the WILL.
Those first 12 seconds are 11/10.
@Kh2fan7 The name of the track is just "Continuum Shift". It can be found on the OST album (Sony Music - KDSD-321).

I absolutely love this game!! ^_^
I have it on the PS3, but I wish it was at Arcades in MY town!
My town's arcade kinda sucks... :/
It's kind of sad though really, arcades are slowly dying and the only things keeping arcades alive are pizza places like Chuck E.Cheese and others
SupahSmashBrotha96 That's so true!
VerchielxKanda Yeah. The arcade at the mall where I live is empty and it's being used for whatever reason. Guess you can't compete with consoles 😔
SupahSmashBrotha96 The mall in my town is emptying too. Cost of renting the shops is too high. =(
VerchielxKanda yep. Now I have to bring my 3ds every time I go to the mall

love the arcade OP so much more
lol, 4 ppl who havnt realized, the date says 2009... now clearly, the console version, if memory serves me rite, came out in 2010
the wheel of fate is turning again, huh?
@Giroutte No this is the attract (intro part of the game).
It was released in November 2009.
I wish that ArcSys either made a patch that put this and the console opening into the Extend version, like how CP did, or at the very least, release a new "version". @Impirias131 Because it was made by the same exact company. Of course there will be similar elements incorporated into it.
Like a person who play the pirate dump from arcade machine I could say - it's opening from ARCADE version!
@yaoiqueen2627 Thats just the arcade version! The whole game is out in America and comes out in EU soon with online, all the original modes and a couple new badass looking modes to boot! :D
@Giroutte This is the opening. Please, play the arcade game and see for yourself.
Awesome, Makoto Nanaya iss a playable character in the console version!
Time for sum squirrel action!
Subscribed.

@omeaga11 Wow, Nibbles in CZcams! That's cool!
Does anyone know where is the scene from 0:52 from?
@LunaChan23 LolDumbass. Lern2Read. It's the ARCADE version openining. It's EVERY bit as official as the Console Version
I really wish they would've used this as Continuum shift's opening. The current one sucks compared to this.
@Mrcapo100 sequel. New story, like....5 or 6 new characters, system changes etc.
@Flunkorg Fail Troll Failed Hard. Don't try to argue a point this far unless you have Terumi status.
Continnum Shit is a sequel or a fixed version of Calamity Trigger? can anyone tell me
@arcadebelgium is there a continuum shift II for ps3 yet?
noob Q, how do you do 0:50?
does this song have a full version???..
I have no ideas what I just wachted.
1:12 - just like when Michael Jackson had cat eyes in Thriller
The music is truly amazing does anyone know the the name of it??
@Darkscoper i prefer the cs1 a tad more, the violin solo gets me, lmao XD
Is this before or after calamity trigger? :S
Wait a second... This isn't the continuum shift opening... what the F?
Anyone has the video in a bit of a higher quality?
Here it is: temp.arcadebelgium.com/blazbluecs_opening.wmv I've tried to upload it to CZcams but it got too much compressed.
@HayateKusanagi it's that jin's move i'm looking for but thx anyway... =w=
@arcadebelgium YOu should add that to the title. "arcade opening"
Unless you live in Japan, how are you supposed to play the arcade game, and not the console port.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG SHISHIGAAAAAAAAAAMI!
@tinyerea Shinsou puts them all to shame
@Darkscoper it good, just, i hate how it starts wit that weird organ thing b4 the lyrics... its more the song than the opening i dislike...
GREATESET game........ Better than GG(in A way) In CALAMITTY TRIGGER i bet No 1 sees that Sol badguy KY kiske and Judgement are in that game LITERALLY!! as well as a bunch of other hints and such from GG series.

@2witchcraft COUGHCOUGHtrollCOUGHCOUGH! Call me a master of subtlty.
the arcade version's song, to me, is definitely better than the console version's opening song... I'm sorry, but i can't handle the way it begins... everything else bout the song is fine, just how it bgins, bleh...
What I find distracting are the translation errors. But maybe that's just me.
this is not the op-- just kidding. who'd be that dense
