- Today, we'll take a look at a knife which is interesting as much for the designer as for the design, and which shows CRKT at their best: The CRKT Michael Walker 'Monument'.

Take a drink every time Nick says Michael Walker
He also said CRKT "has respect", though to his credit, he didn't say from whom. I can remember the days when Nick would have done a comedy routine around reviewing a $275 CRKT.
Good to wake up to a Nick Shabazz review. Wish there were way more of them.
I think his output is exactly proportional to the amount of interesting knives being released.
@@CNYKnifeNut Nick used to be interested in the budget level knives, but now that they are of such high quality, and also so similar to each other he has left that part of the game. For the average joe there hasn't been a better time to buy a $60 pocket knife, but for enthusiasts there isn't as much of a thrill.
@@CNYKnifeNut sadly, I agree....
Been watching Nick's reviews for year's now. One of the first CZcamsrs to review knives. Always a good view... Thanks.
Cool knife, great review. I'm always so happy to see a new Nick Shabazz review! Thank you Nick - I hope all's well!
Nick, my man, there’s a screw there. 🤣 It’s okay we still love you.
I agree CRKT should continue along this road of making knives designed by people who have had an outsized influence on the knife world. Maybe they could make…I don’t know…a Sebenza?
😉
Loved the review and tear down. I’ve been on the fence on this one, but your comments have me leaning heavily towards purchase. Well done!
You're awesome.
~RESPECT~
I wonder if Michael Walker designed this knife?
As far as content there are no better youtubers 😊
It is 2024 not 2023. Yeah time flies when we’re old.
Hey Nick the We Qubit (and Civivi Qubit) could also be something you’d find great for edc. They are absolute gems in my opinion and have one of if not the best cutting geometries available in production knives.
Agreed. My We Qubit is superbly slicy and exudes mechanical excellence. It's somehow both one of my favorite pieces and leaves me wondering how much better it could be with a flipper tab and carbon scales.
@@BrianRousseau noo pls not a flipper tab. I love the clean lines of the we qubit and im tired of flippers.
@@Superbus753 I hear you, Friend. I personally find a flipper tab offers a cleaner presentation than thumb studs. The detent on my Qubit is really strong - almost excessive for thumb studs, but I bet it would make flipping super snappy.
Silly Nick, gems can't be idiots. 😊 good morning from the Oregon coast.
The Nick shows that he could walk right into Boeing and take over the quality control department with ease.
Hey Nick....am I hearing some lockstick?
Michael Wacha pitched for the Cardinals and mets, I think you meant to say Michael Walker
Nick, you mentioned that yo loosened the clip to make it pocket easier, what did you do to make that work better?
Crkt's Van Hoy is my typical EDC carry.
Who designed this? Caged bearings unlike a Herman. Nice review and great looking knife!
Cool knife 👍
🙏🙏🙏
I can see why you like it.
It reminds me of a Japanese fighting fish.
😂
So, who was the knife designed by again? Oh, and BTW, is it a good knife?
Thank You Sir for making my saturday special.
Amazing review of another crappy knife
… did you even watch the video? What about this knife is crappy?
I’m not a fan of CRKT and I think knives from Italian makers are generally a bit overpriced (mostly because they run most steels too soft), but this is a far cry from a crappy knife.

Pretty dumb, right? Almost as bad as dismissing an entire country's knife industry because of a few secondhand anecdotes that get parroted around!
Am i the only one who misses terrible knives live?
You are not alone
the only people who can disassemble a knife with no trouble on the first try are the makers/designers.
Alright I cannot in good conscience keep taking advice from a man who has sunk to the level of a bumbling baboon who thinks up is down and left is right and screws are pins!
Oh how the mighty have fallen, and I think the only advice I’ll take from this video is his recommendation to find another CZcams channel.
But the knife is very cool and I never really knew much about Michael Walker so this was actually a very interesting review and I am glad CRKT is doing some snazzy stuff. Excellent review and better luck with the next disassembly! 😜
it's kinda strange that you say you can't buy a real walker but absolutely can spend the same amount of $ (or even more) on a watch.
good review though, that knife has a nice design for sure and the price is okay.
