Synapse Carbon 2RL is fantastic endurance bike. High speed, perfect stability and handling and a fantastic feeling of a smooth, fast and comfortable ride. Simply a joy to drive. It is ideal bike for enthusiastic cyclists who spends most of their free time on the bike. Ideal for cyclists who prefer speed and asphalt cycle paths over unpaved surfaces, this is how you get the strongest riding experience from this bike. The bike is also an ideal companion for long, multi-day or longer bike trips. Because of its speed, smooth, fast and comfortable ride.

I totally agree that most people should be open to this concept. I really think most of the negative comments are media driven to generate more interest because to me, it just makes sense to have the lights integrated. Have you tried fitting a speedsleev/saddlebag under the seat with the stock light/radar? That would be my only concern..

It makes no sense. As a customer, I was in the market for a new bike, but passed on the 2022 version due to that integration. Not only does it look sloppy, the lights and radar are poorly positioned , limited the use of both burrito bags and saddle bags. The rear radar should have been place by the seat clamp and the front should be up by a garmin computer mount. This is way I personally run the excellent varia radar system on my bike.
They should have made a low end Tiagra or 105 model for the commuters and kept the higher end models clean of all this integrated junk. Anyone shopping for a 5k bike either has the Varia system already or doesn’t want it.

HI Your Own Aventure, thanks for the feedback, it is always interesting to get peoples genuine feedback on a new product like this. Haven't tried, but think you could fit a huck strap, or similar pouch under the saddle, but an old school saddlebag probably wouldn't work.

Hi Thomas, thanks for you feedback on the bike, and you are proving this certainly is one that is splitting opinion. I like your idea of a lower specced commuter option, and good to read of another Varia convert like me. I would also agree about the aesthetics and positioning, but both of these can be improved somewhat compared to the version in the video. The wires on the model we had for the video were way too long and all over the place. We have since had bikes in the store to sell and with a bit of care when being built the cables look a lot neater. Also both the front light and the varia display use the standard GoPro fitting so could easily be incorporated into a normal computer mount, but even without that, the mounts they come with can be turned to ride above the bars leaving the lower part of the bar clear for a burrito bag.

Saddle bay won’t fit. This is why there is a bag mount on the top tube

@@Andrestander124 not as standard no, but with an extended light mount it would: buplabs.com/products/anatra-universal-saddle-mount-for-garmin-varia

Great bike, but the light has way too low lumens at 350. Most bike lights are 1000 lumen or stronger. These lights are simply not good enough if you ride at night.

We all have to like the look of our bikes so we can sit and admire them when we aren't actually riding them!
