More Locomotives! - 19 - Spa Valley Steam Railway - Southern Steam Up 2023

The Spa Valley Railway based in Tunbridge Wells close to the former Tunbridge Wells West Station held it’s Southern Steam Up over the weekend of 16/17 June celebrating 100th anniversary of the formation of the Southern Railway in 1923.
Featuring in the Steam Up were two visiting SR locomotives, the SECR OI No. 65 and BR Ivatt tank No. 41313 alongside the Spa Valley’s Battle of Britain Class No. 34072 ‘257’ Squadron and 0-6-0 tender engines Hensley Austerity No. 2890 Douglas and Caledonian Railway No. 828.

Excellent selection of motive power, both 65 and 592 too - the Bluebell cupboard stripped of goodies! The Ivatt wasn't out of place either, altogether nice with the BB to round it out.
