- This is the best Homemade Barazek Sesame Cookies Recipe middle eastern style. They are made from flour, butter (or ghee), sugar, milk to form a nice dough that is covered sesame seeds and honey syrup with pistachios.

5 tbsp unsalted butter (soft)
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp sugar syrup
Ingredients for the first coat
2/3 cup roasted sesame
1/2 tbsp sugar syrup
1/4 tbsp sugar

1/3 cup rough chopped pistachio

Can we add butter instead ghee
The recipe is made with butter. Can be replaced with Ghee is that is your question, however Ghee had different consistency, try to use one that is thick and close to butter consistency not to liquid
