  • Hello everyone and welcome. This tutorial is my project for the August Craftology Subscription Box available from Country Craft Creations. countrycraftcr...
    This is a two volume project, this is the first, spanning January through June. The October Box will be July through December. If you haven't seen the walk through video yet, please check it out here: • Our Year, August Craft...
    There is a PDF that I uploaded into the files in the Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations Facebook group. This is the printable you can use to make the journaling pages if you wish. It is the "Our Year Album Journaling Page"
    I also use my "Patchwork Paper Technique" in making the cover. If you are unfamiliar with that, here is a link to the tutorial that I did on it. • Patchwork Paper Tutorial
    All measurements for all page parts and pieces are given in the video. Because this is a subscription project, there is no cut list for this project, but as I said, all measurements are given during the tutorial. There is one correction on the cut list that you will receive in the subscription box. On the March page, the two 5x8 pieces will be scored at 1/2 and at 5/8".
    NOTE!!! Also, I did a couple of experiments with pens as I mention in the videos. I found that any of the tree kinds of permanent marker pens work on this paper. I do NOT recommend ball point pens. Please test your pens on scraps before you use them on the calendars themselves!
    If you wish to purchase these papers separately they will be available at Country Craft Creations at countrycraftcre... on August 30th.
    If you have any questions please ask, and enjoy your album!!

    I just finished watching the tutorial and I absolutely love this. I especially love that there are no hinges!! I took a lot of notes and am ready to start cutting. Thank you for making a large album. So many make folios now, and I am not a fan of those. And……do you know what would be fabulous? A box to hold both books since it’s a year album. You know, like a magazine holder file. I could make it if I knew the sizes, but I would never be able to figure it out. Lol. I know you’re probably over it by now though! But thanks again! We appreciate all your time and effort!!

    Hi Micelle
    I love your tutotial. Just to bad I cant get the subscription box or papers in South Africa. Can I build the pages on the pocket of the base page before I attatch it to the page? Hope it makes sense. Thank you for a stunning tutorial.

    • @michelleallenacreativeoper6112
      @michelleallenacreativeoper6112  Před 2 lety

      Thank you so much for watching. I wish you could get those papers in South Africa...maybe someday. Yes, absolutely you can build the page on the pocket first, that wouldn't be a problem at all. Just be careful with the bulk that would be added to the pocket to get it nice and straight. That would be the only thing I would worry about. Take care, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the tutorial.

    Hi Michelle!! You are sooo my fav designer. As I said before, I love how you can laugh at yourself. You mentioned you were nervous a couple of times, this is encouraging as I get that way, and I'm no where seasoned as you are. I do have a question- I seen you have a glue bottle holder, I also have one I use when creating, what is on the bottom of yours? The yellow? I am now also using the guaze for glue clean up, thanks for the idea. Hope your doing well, I've been awaiting your next project, so I came back to this and have been working on it, but as a school book for my grandson's stuff throughout his 12 years. Im guessing your busy doing round 2 of the year, and hosting all your Halloween stuff, since you said you guys love it so much. Thanks for all you do. God bless ♡♡

      Hello! Thanks for the words of encouragement. This project is important to me as it’s the subscription box and I take it super seriously. I don’t want to mess it up! I have the second volume coming to CZcams on October 10th. That has kept me busy. I’m recording a tutorial today and have more in the works. Halloween has kept me busy. We are going to be hosting a get together and are also going to be have the grandkids over! Then there’s work. L😂L. Never enough time. To answer the question, it’s a cut down sponge in the bottom of the holder. I get it wet when using it. It rinses out beautifully. When I’m not crafty I take the bottle out as use the pin but have forgotten to do that a couple of times and my glue stayed perfectly usable. Thank goodness I found this idea! It has saved me! I hope you have a great day!🤗

    Wonderful project……. How many sheets of black card stock is used in this project please. I just want to get them all at same time from same colour batch so there is no variation. Thank you.

      @michelleallenacreativeoper6112  Před 3 lety +1

      I used a brown cardstock in this tutorial but black would certainly work as well. I used almost a full 25 sheet pack plus about 6 pages of natural. The Artisan cardstock was from Country Craft Creations at countrycraftcreations.com.
