Westbury, Wiltshire

Westbury is a small town in Wiltshire, near Salisbury Plain. It had a major part in the woollen cloth industry between the middle ages and the mid 20th century. It is the original terminus of the Wiltshire, Somerset and Weymouth Railway, taken over by the Great Western in 1850.
It is sometimes called Westbury-under-the-Plain to distinguish it from other places with a similar name.

I've spent quite a lot of time in Westbury. It's dead as a doornail. Nothing whatsoever going for it apart from it looking ancient and interesting from an historical point of view.

All these places I can't believe you haven't done Salisbury Town centre yet it has so many old buildings and history would make a very popular video

Thanks for the video..some good scenes and travalogue…Looks nice but rather subdued place…the blue plaques and footnotes testify it once boomed but not now…no sign of a rave party or Times Square type new year gatherings any time in this century or next
