    Thanks for this overview. I've watched a couple videos about the new leaders now, and I think you gave me the most detailed breakdown (and fair assessment) of why some will be impactful or not. I'm excited to see Qi'ra in action, because I really like the blue green villain, but don't care for the actual ip characters of Krennic or Iden. I also would like to see the Bossk and Mando decks work. I was excited for young Han, and still am probably, but think that this set gives a lot red Sabine. So those two decks would compete for the cards I own. Overall great video, and just building my anticipation to open some packs at the prerelease.

      Thank you, appreciate it! I am very interested in Qi'Ra as well, and stay tuned for a Mono Red Han deck video (July 1st)!

    I think Rey is being undervalued here as I think she is Tier 'Probably' in premiere and Tier 'Yes' in Limited. One of the things she has going for her is she can go wide, if needed, because many of her units naturally cost less to take advantage of her ability. So instead of playing a 1 cost Clone Deserter and buffing him, you could play both him and another 1 cost (like R2). So there will be ways to play around hard control or bounce strategies. I think she will play very similar to Luke (who has a place in the meta) but I feel she has more reach due to adding XP rather than a shield.

    • @iamwooooo
      @iamwooooo  Před 27 dny

      I actually think Luke falls in a similar place and I'm pretty low on him in set 1 too. She's not hopeless that's for sure.

      @Vlad-vb8lo Před 27 dny +1

      Ive done a lot of testing with Rey in every color (Yellow/Red/Blue) and its honestly just not great. Going wide with her isnt as good as going wide with something like sabine because you play lower atk power minions, otherwise her ability isnt effective. Its just too slow to try going wide to beat control. And its also not good into stronger mid rangers like luke. I want her to work, but she just doesnt

    • @jakubsobkowiak6193
      @jakubsobkowiak6193 Před 26 dny +1

      I think she would be good double blue. You have a lot of healing to deal with aggro, and you can play whole mill package to deal with late game / control. While having the ability of going wide if needed. Also tech will make hero control kinda viable? Maybe wishful thinking, but I'll try for sure.

    I like qi’ra alot as well. I’ve pretty much been playing her in yellow since she was revealed and the testing has been pretty good. Sabine gets tricky if there isnt an answer and she gets darksaber but I’m really liking it.

    I really want to play an out-of-aspect Firespray in Good Boba. Maybe an entire playset because it's a direct damage for 8 (you must be playing Yellow how your secondary aspect). Firespray is mainly for U Wing Reinforcement.

  • @zors5188

    My early take: no leaders should be in “no” tier, someone will find a niche build, and people will enjoy playing them no matter what- they all have a chance imo. Fennec especially

    • @DiegoDeschain
      @DiegoDeschain Před 27 dny +11

      The point here is not enjoyment, it's competitive viability. No one's saying people can't just pick whatever they want to have fun with it, and they will, but that's not what the tier listing is about.

    • @ajvakarian
      @ajvakarian Před 27 dny

      @@DiegoDeschain I do wish they would specify which game mode they are discussing, whether it be premiere or limited. When they don't, I assume they are discussing strength across ALL types of play. And Fennec is going to be strong in draft/limited (like Jyn) due to how powerful ambush is.

      Think Fennec is underrated. Being able to Ambush almost anything is solid. People are down on her stats but she may be the first leader you don't flip

    What do you think of new Han with blue? Dropping luke on 6 is awesome, and new chewy is flexible and great on 7. Rey drops as a 4/5 on 4 then heals herself when she attacks.

  • @friendofyoda5194

    Who do you rate more highly, old Han or new Han? Do you think they will play drastically differently?

    • @iamwooooo
      @iamwooooo  Před 25 dny +2

      That's a tough one. Old Han is already an established arch type, so it's hard to say. I am really excited for new Han though (stay tuned for a deck video on him coming in about a week). I do think their play styles will differ a bit, but they both cheat on resources which is a very strong ability.

      @gavincochrane6426 Před 21 dnem

      @@iamwooooo great thanks! I've watched a few other pre-release specific leader tier videos and Han seems to be consistently S tier, then Qi'Ra, Boba, Cad, Rey, Kylo, and maybe Gar or Bossk (these rely on a lot of mandos and upgrades, or bounties respectfully) in A tier. Of the pre-release promo leaders, Mando much better than Gideon if folk do not open some of the S and A tier leaders. Completely depends on the other cards pulled and aspect representation obviously. From my experience of pre-releases, aggro strategies tend to trump slower strategies, so I'm hoping for Han or Cad from my packs

    I hate qi ra. Yes flipping and then overwhelming barrage is good. But flipping into opponents overwhelming barrage ends the game against you and they automatically go after you. Aphra worst in set. Han and Jabba top.
