73-87 c10 long bed to short bed in a weekend. Part 1. $200 budget c10

Cutting down a 1987 Chevy C10 (R10) from a long wheel base to a short wheel base in a driveway and 2 car garage. Not a step by step how to but hopefully it’ll inspire others to not be afraid to try doing something yourself without expensive tools or a big garage.

Its easier to cut the front of the bed off less trouble ,then all you have to do is cut the back frame off .

I’ve never seen it done that way or done one that way. The back of the bed would still have to have 6” removed along with the 14” in the front to get it to a factory size short bed.
