- There are currently 14 of these S.D.C. Zyklon Galaxi coasters in operation and we've ridden and filmed many of them. What sets this one apart from most is its beach-side location. Can you name any of the other ones we've posted on this channel?

PigPig Gamer I went on there Facebook I only found one advertisement other than that I can't find any other info and I don't see that coaster I've walked by palace playland this year during the closed seasons the only thing new I see is sea viper

I grew up riding this same coaster in the 90s. Before moving to Palace Playland it was in Omaha, NE. The twisty section after the 2nd drop was inside in the dark, so much fun. Just the sound of the clinkclanking after the hills is nostalgic.
Joey. This will blow your mind. I too grew up going on the Galaxi at Peony Park, in Omaha. I also went to college in Maine. I took a trip to Palace Playland and saw this coaster and as PP closed a couple years before I was excited to see a similar coaster. So I rode it and it was also named Galaxi. Lots of nostalgia. I got off the ride and told an employee about growing up riding this type of coaster in Omaha. He got a smile on his face and asked “Where?” I told him Peony Park in Omaha, Nebraska. He looked at me and said, “Dude, this coaster isn’t ‘like’ the one you rode…. It IS the coaster your rode.” Palace Playland had just bought the Galaxi Roller Coaster from Peony Park and shipped it to Maine. They had just put it up a couple of years before. I couldn’t believe it. I got to ride the Galaxi ONE MORE TIME half way across the county. So this video is our old coaster. I just checked and Palace Playland got ride of her in 2017. Thought you would like this story.

History News : this used to be the galaxy orbit when it was @ Peony park back in Omaha, Nebraska when I was a early teen.
DevylBear Hawkturion then in 1994 it was moved to old orchard where it stood until September 2017 when it was taken down and replaced by the sea viper Maines largest steel roller coaster Maine and Italy are the only places in the entire world where you can ride the sea viper I thinks it's cool it's in Maine it's a fun ride but I miss Galixi a little bit
Typically, temporary fairs don't have names like "Playland". Of course, there are exceptions to that rule. Valleyfair in Shakopee, MN, is a permanent amusement park, but it sounds like the name of a fair.

You're right, but i just thought maybe it was a fair cause it's surroundings looked more like a fair than an amusement park like Disney or Universal Studios etc.

Ahhh, the Galaxi. I ride that when I'm up in Maine, I actually don't get to ride a lot. There's reasons for that, like we usually go to Funtown and not here, and I usually ride the Matterhorn or Super Star, but when I do ride this, it's....fun? I mean, the drops are really mild, that I can't even feel them. Even on a Wild Mouse, my stomach tickles a LITTLE bit on the drop, but on this...nothing. I'm not saying I don't like the ride, I mean it's their only rollercoaster, but it's just a boring ride. There are much better rides there like Drop Zone or Adrenalin. If I only had 4 tickets left, this wouldn't be my ride of choice, unless one of my little cousins wants me to ride it with them. It's not that I don't like it, it's just not a thrilling or fun ride for me.
It's much better than other roller coasters by Pinfari
The 1st two drops gave me butterflies in the back car as a kid but I'm sure that would barely still be the case now if at all.

I rode this coaster when I as a kid, when it was at Peony Park in Omaha Nebraska. The park closed in early spring of 1994 and this park bought the coaster at auction. RIP Peony Park :(

@@firebros1695 Pretty sure it's being constructed and will be ready at Indiana Beach for 2022(they'll have a 3 loop coaster ready too). They had the exact same roller coaster called Galaxi, and it's literally the only thing that fits with slides in the way.. so they're putting it back.

They did had a roller coaster like this at Peony Park over in Omaha, Ne that had been closed down long ago. May be this might been a roller coaster that been bought from the park when it was closed for good.
