Stock FJ Cruiser Trail Teams vs Elbe

- In this one I am joined by Austin in his stock 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Edition to go exploring Elbe Hills OHV in Elbe Washington! Most of the people that come out to Elbe bring fairly beaten up older rigs on very large tires, because these trails can be pretty punishing! But this video proves that you can come to Elbe in a late model 4 wheel drive and still have a good time!

Wow, the little FJ did pretty good! I’m impressed! Fun to see the contrast between the rigs…
A stock FJ is a capable rig!
Absolutely! And hopefully people will see that you can go and have fun at Elbe even if you have a stock 4x4!
@@offroadhub.official if ya wona do sunrise,,its like coffee,, get there early.. before sunrise.. why,,oh,, why,,dont we have trails like this & marked as such in aus..[ 15 mins later ],,after coffe,, oh,,forgot,,we are the nanny country.. everything is ellegal..guns, alcohol, drugs, 4x4rs, sex. blow up dolls. jobs, a decent gov.. aawell,, theres allways the computer dream time.. look up info on our famously infamous, black mountain, qld..
Awesome footage and run. Just amazing what a stock FJ can do. Looking forward to more!
Very capable! 👍
@@offroadhub.official Also quite incredible what a solid axle FJ can do! I should have mentioned that too…
@@bcochener Thank you! I've been extremely happy with it!
Fun stuff Ken, had to laugh every time you said “ your good” he got hung up. What a difference tire size can make. Thanks for the video. Happy trails.
I'm just trying to be encouraging and positive! 😄
@@offroadhub.official When your spotter gets your hung up intentionally.... 😆
@@PeteHemdem 😳 never! 😆
What a great video to start a Sunday with! Each new video you put out just keeps getting better and better! And props to you for being a fun, safe and conscious trail guide. Everybody loves playing in the dirt but not all of us want to trash our rigs in the process haha.
Thanks for watching! Elbe isn't just for hardcore rigs, there's something for everyone in reality!
Wet muddy and slippery trails scare me but it’s fun to watch you guys hit them.
that A-track is awesome tech from 15 years ago! simple and effective
Absolutely awesome content! 🔥🤘
I can't wait to get my first fj very soon. 😆
Great video. It’s cool seeing stock vs heavily modified
Yupp congratulations on 10,000 SUBS! ✌
Good call on backing out! Amazing build!
Thanks!
Congratulations on 10k subscribers
Another awesome video. Offroad Claes is bummed she missed it!! Maybe we'll catch the next one...😉
CONGRATS on 10K subs!!!! 🎊🎊
Thanks Juston!
AWESOME VIDEO MAN. I REALLY REALLY ENJOYED THIS!! HIGH QUALITY FOOTAGE MY FRIEND
Thank you!
Awesome, cool and calm. A good watch!
Looks fun great video thanks 😊
I actually enjoyed the video! Something I noticed my 2013 FJ cruiser TT doesn’t have is the backup camera cover which I noticed on Austin’s FJ. Now I’m gonna go get one. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video
Trail looks fun!
Very nice video! FJ rocks!
VERY NICE COMPARATIVE
That was great! Fun to watch. Is that the same FJ where you trashed mirrors and door. Can't remember where you were but I remember it looked like a deep trench you were in. Awesome stuff. I would be afraid to take my 2013 FJ some of the places you go. But I will watch.
Yes, this is the same FJ I took on Busywild!
❤❤❤,i love your car how you made it
Great vid! I couldn't tell for sure there at the end. Did you guys also go up the Rainier Vista trail?
We did not.
JUST NOTICED 10K!!!
For Austin I definitely recommend doing the bodymount chop and putting some 34ish inch tires. 35's require a lot more finessing. I'm running 285/75/17's. When I put my aftermatket UCA's I needed a negative offset wheel or some 1.25inch wheel spacers.
I'm sure he'll get there someday, or maybe not. 🤷😄 He had a fun time regardless. 👍
I just finished up my lift; 2.5” in the front and 1.5” in the back. I want to keep my wheels but upgrade to either 285/75/16s or ideally 295/75/16s
I wonder how your SAS'd FJ on 42s would do playing with my SAS'd H3 on 37s. I bet you would show me a thing or 3 (probably more). I just love seeing SAS'd vehicles in the same place :)
I love your build! :)
I've been to Elbe once and I was definitely impressed with what the Gotcha trail had to offer a stock rig on 35s
Sas'ed H3 sounds cool!
@@offroadhub.official I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty neat! Not near as neat as your SAS'd FJ though. Maybe we'll run into each other on the trails one day :)
DAMN, I'm glad I kept my '08
Your videos are always a fun watch. Would love to meet up on the trails. Located in northern Idaho. Let me know!
That would be great! I've heard whispers of trails up in northern Idaho.
@@offroadhub.officialWhat area are you from?
@@matthewdoolittle2515 I'm in southeastern Idaho.
Better than national geography ❤
Austin looked like a very seasoned offroader! :))
I'm gathering that he is! Since I wheeled with him I've discovered that he's built a buggy etc... He was playing coy with me. 😄
I’m getting there; actually I’ve only been off roading for about 1-1/2 years. I’m loving it and getting more and more comfortable with it every time I go out.
@@austincarpp2854 you know... I've only been really wheeling for a little more than 2 years. 👀😄
Going to get a custom badge for my rear door. Changing the "FJ" into "FJB".
That would be AWESOME!!! LOL!!!
Hahaha hell ya brother that would be great !! I’m gonna look around now for that badge for my FJ. 🤘🏻
They sell badges on Amazon that say FJB edition
@@zerohero187 awesome thank you!
@@zerohero187 That's great! I thought I would have to have it custom made.
You missed all the difficult trails. The busy wild is considered the easywild now. Over by the boat ramp are some legit trails and rock climbs.
I did the hard part of Busywild in the last video. 👍
I have miss the video about your upgrade from IFS to Solid Axle..., please can you give me the link to that video ?
Thanks a lot !
I have a 1/10 RC Toyota FJ Cruiser with many upgrades that seems really like your.. ang goes everywhere!!
There are lots of videos about it! Here is the playlist!

@@offroadhub.official Thanks a lot !
@13:10 was really impressive.
I was worried the logs were going to be more slippery! Thanks for watching!
do you ever find that when you were stock it was more fun. maybe it was just me but everything was a challenge now im doing things that are too much lol
Nah it's definitely more fun now! I was so sad not even being able to try things like the log jam and all the rock gardens. That's why I did the build! I was tired of passing everything up!
@@offroadhub.official ahh i'm glad to hear and look forward to seeing you conquer more of what you failed/struggled before!
What is your favorite trail in Arizona
There are so many, that's a tough one. Backway to Crownking was pretty great! Smiley Rock was good. Chiva Falls.
Turnamaroo... 🤣
After watching some of your videos I now know to skip your area lol. My full size square body suburban I’m turning into a overlander just wouldn’t fit on those trails that are nothing but deep ruts. I don’t really see trails like this on the east coast .
Elbe trails are the most dug out I've ever seen anywhere! I travel all over, I actually live in Idaho.

4:10 What this BOZO using the headlights for?
They are daytime running lights, they're on automatically.
