You know how they say not to meet your heroes ? I had the privilege of Meeting Jack once before one of his shows at the hotel we both happened to be staying at. Its not an act. He is as cool, laid back and humble in real life as he is on camera. We actually talked for 10-15 minutes and he was very engaged in a 2 way conversation. I felt like I was just chatting with a buddy and I am no one to him and there was no one to witness it if he had been rude or brief. He had nothing to gain from our interaction. Jack deserves every gift in life. He is an amazing artist and a gracious human being. Thank you JJ for so many beautiful songs and reminding us all about our place in community and the living world
❤️
So jealous but crazy happy for you!
Same, I meet him right after on of his shows. He was so nice. I walked past his bus and he walked off. He asked if I would like a picture with him and I said of course. We talked about the show. I have been to 4 now and have meet others from the band and everyone is very down to earth. What an amazing man. By far my favorite singer for the past 17 years.
That's a great story I'm glad you shared it! The fact that Jack's been playing with the same band (Merlo, Zach, Adam) for 20 years really always said a lot to me.
I could not agree more. I served him 4 years ago in this hotel I worked. Himself and the whole family are truly nice people. He is a great husband and dad. One can tell. I served him several times. Super nice and humble. On his last day when leaving, I was getting slammed busy serving at the full terrace. Himself and his partner waited several minutes at the bar until I was less busy just to thank me for everything and say goodbye. I could not say a bad thing about him for all the gold in the world. Make no mistake its people like him that this planet a better place to be.
Sending good vibes to the ten people who disliked this video. Hope your day gets better, man.
Jack Johnson is the coolest dude ever man
indeed
He really is though. I went to Elementary & high school with him. I see him around the North Shore sometimes & he's still the same mellow laid-back dude he was in school.
yeeeeees, thanks JACK!
jack for president
Jack Johnson is the definition of a mellow cool guy, love this man
I did not expect to see Jack and Ryan play Pirate looks at 40 when I clicked on this. What an absolute treat!!
Thanks for the comment. I was just about to click off of this, but hung around when I saw your comment and stayed for one of my favorite songs.
Totally!
clearly there's not enough Zack in this one...
Now we need Jack and Ryan to do an acoustic album.
Man I'd pay for a Jack and Ryan duet album and tour
During the interview Jack said he will occasionally miss a chord or a note but that it didn't matter. As long as the energy is there, that's all that matters. Sam Phillips also agreed with this. It's truly about the emotion vs the perfection. The audience gets it.
I liked that part he said that as well. Something like if you mess up a chord it doesn't make it less true..I thought like life, right? And had to write it in my journal.
I've seen Jack in concert twice. He forgot words to multiple songs in both concerts, and I'm sure he missed a chord or two. The energy was there and he kept going!
Just like I’m visual art.. when I make a mark and it was unintentional. It belongs. 🤗
Bingham and JJ, truly where the desert meets the sea. That’s where I’d like to be
It's like baja mexico
They are 2 of my favorite musician's 🌹
How have I missed this video for two years? Two of my favorite artists kicking it and playing amazing tunes. Absolutely beautiful to me. Better late than never.
Till the day I die I will continue to see Jack Johnson as the most amazing, and talented man I’ve ever seen. I’ll take a piece of him with me everywhere
Couldn't agree more
I saw Jack in concert, one of the very few musicians that sound better in person then not! He was truly amazing!
Such a cool conversation and editing. Here’s something random. I have only seen two live music performances in the last 15 years... one was Jack and the other was Ryan. I don’t have a musical bone in my body, but somehow my kid who only just turned 9, taught himself to write, play, and sing. He is going to be sooo stoked to watch this video. Thanks for this.
I love how music isn’t center-stage focal points in their lives, that they take life as it is and treat each aspect of life (surfing, family, music, hardships, bull riding, etc.) not as something important to music, but as what it is. Music is just another good part of life😌
Yesss 👏
These 2 artist's do not allow the music industry to dictate what they write or sing ✌🌹
Two amazing souls from different musical paths sharing the love of music. Priceless ......... !!!!
I love jack johnson, he is and always will be my favorite musician of all time. I wish he could give us 20 more albums.
Thanks for this video YETI, it's refreshing to hear what these men had to say. Very cool.
You picked the perfect person to have for your first show. Jack is an amazing artist, he is so kind in person. I can’t wait to be able to see him again some day.
I love how Ryan started feeling comfortable with Jack and their energy together is just beautiful. Loved it!
I love how real they are about what it's like being successful musicians. Super interesting and refreshing.
These are my two favorite singers slash musicians and seeing them together just blew my mind. Clapped my hands like a little girl. Haha hope my mom didn't see me. But it's like seeing Buddha meet Jesus for me. Literally my favorite video on CZcams. 🤯
I love that song!!! thanks ✌
Well this makes Quarantine not so bad!
Justin Burgan hey bud
I fell in love with Ryans voice on Yellowwstone. ❤️ Michele. I love the sea and animals and mother earth 🌎. Ryan ,I love your spirit, just being easy and free and honest. There is a truth to the music. You both sound amazing. I play but not as well as you both. Sending you both big hugs. ❤️ Michele. :)
JJ is legit! Many nights sitting around drinkin listening to his music with friends. Ryan Bingham is awesome too and super edgy great actor too in Yellowstone.
How could you even watch this and dislike 👎🏼 it !!

Ryan’s a champion as well 👍🏼🐂
Everything from the YETI presents series has been riveting for me. The storytelling, insight into different walks of life, and easy-to-watch presentation is fabulous. Don't stop telling these stories guys !

Jack, Ryan..... and John John!? All on an anamorphic lens. Stoked on this one
I think we need a collaboration album between Ryan and Jack 👏🏼 great stuff @yeti
This is just gold!! Thanks Yellowstone for introducing me to Ryan and his music.
Two very, very talented people.
I think I might have to work for YETI. They keep telling great stories and they are probably making more fans by doing this than talking about their product. Love it.
I’m a huge fan of both of these very talented men... I love how original these guys are. It would be very cool to see Ryan Bingham and Shaky Graves on one of these episodes!
This series is spectacular. Do one with Sam Beam once the world gets backs to normal. I will buy one thousand yeti coolers!
one of the raddest films. listening to jack feels like home. thank you x
Love Jack Johnson..❤️❤️❤️❤️ we need more MEN like him in this world for our daughters. 😊
Every “star” needs to be humble like him. As $ and the bs that comes with a “star”
(which most are a joke) 🙄 will never make you happy. So chase that bs or be an amazing, humble one....like this beautiful human.
This is gold. Pure gold....
Wonderful video , Ryan is also a great actor . I was surprised when I first saw him in Yellowstone , it was like don’t I know you from somewhere. And JJ such a cool dude .
Jack! You are my favorite singer in the world... your soul is magical... your song is so perfect and makes me feel so good! Tks for that!!! 💗

Thankyou Yeti ... this was amazing ... and special thanks to the guys who filmed this beautifully! Those flares didn’t go unnoticed !love from the Himalayas..🙂
Ryan's praise after Jack sings "last thoughts on Woodie Guthrie" is priceless at 18:30. Especially how Jack tries to just keep talking. Unreal clip.
How am I just finding this? 2 of my favorite artists!!! Texas boy lived Kamaina for a hot minute. Heaven here!
This was 28 almost 29 minutes of my life that made me cry a few times, smile a few times, and took my heart to a place I needed to be. Thank you so much
Whew...Talent and humanity to the max. What a great vignette. Thanks Yeti.
If any of the other Yeti Series are like this, I'm watching all of them!
All of my fondest childhood memories were spent singing along to jack together in the kitchen while eating banana pancakes, and riding in the backseat of my big brother’s car to brushfire fairytales. Three years ago I stood front row, and cried more than I should have. NEVER STOP MAKING MUSIC.
Thank you for creating this! It was a blessing to hear from Jack and Ryan.
Just beautiful. Jack don't ever quit music please!
Ryan's got such a unique voice. Good vibes guys!
THIS IS EVERYTHING. Thank you Yeti.

Yetis CZcams channel is so 🔥, amazing the quality of productions they are doing.
“Home” was actually not on “Sleep through the static” 2008 but first heard on a the “A brokedown melody” 2006 and later on 2013’s “From Here to Now to You”
Hadn’t ever listened much to Jack Johnson...well, that’s going to change. Love this look at his music. Love this series. Such a great insight to songwriters.
