The moment when Terry chokes up talking about this deep song of forgivenss is alone totally worth the price of admission to this deeply moving episode.
I have to concur with the other posters that this is a great series. This episode is my favorite because Terry Allen has written some of the best, deepest, real music in Texas (along with his friends Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Butch Hancock, Joe Ely, and Jimmie Dale Gilmore to name a few). "Lubbock (On Everything)" is a touchstone album if you want to really understand that whole Texas Music thing!
What a series! Ryan Bingham collaborates great with everyone
Not familiar with him, but any friend of Terry’s is a friend of mine
Two exceptionally talented and authentic people. I had the good fortune to meet Ryan nearly 15 years ago while living in my home state of Mississippi. Fast forward nearly a decade and I was able to get to know both Terry & Jo Harvey while working at Texas Tech. Love the Allens & RB too!
Hats off to Anna Axter for the great production.
Wow. Absolutely Blown Away. Please keep making these. Inspire the world.
Two Legends.
I love this whole series but this Terry Allen episode is really special! What a treasure you both are.
Amazing production by Anna & Ryan. I wish there were more. Torpedo Bros & YETI, Axster Co all did an outstanding job with this concept. They nailed what each artist and Ryan Bingham himself are about. It doesn't get any more genuine or authentic than this.
Great show Ryan and Terry! Cheers!!
Still remember listening to Truckload of art driving across Texas as a kid... Great video!
This one just hits different, I felt it.
Wow, fabulous stuff. The entire Midnight Hour series was fantastic.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thanks
I am Texican Badman. Juarez was my backyard. Love the Paso Del Norte region. Thank you Terry and Ryan.
So much about this brought tears to my eyes. Both are amazing men and can craft songs that speak so deep to me.
Love this Midnight Hour series!!
This was so good. I've seen Terry Allen play, but never seen him talk like this.
This is an incredible series!!
Still a blast after so many moons and miles...
Ryan Bingham is a gift
I love this. Amazing. Greetings from Juárez, México.
i want to come to Juarez
What a great series, loving every episode so far. Thx Yeti for putting this out. Nothing better then "authentic" Country music.
This series is so well done on every aspect. A return to quality entertainment!
It really is!
Their conversation made me hear their stripped down honesty in their song lyrics. Ryan singing “Best of Me” made my mind & heart yearn for each next verse he was about to sing. Forgiveness & letting go; wow, the song made me try to look at my past with a different (less angry) perspective. Thank them both for sharing their songwriting talent with the public, instead of just saving it for their ears only. I believe I was meant to discover this broadcast.
Incredible!!
Just perfect!
Thank you real people real music :)
Soo good! Loving this Midnight Hour series! Thank you so much to everyone involved.
