- This video on 'Caesarean Scar Pregnancy, the precursor of Placenta Accreta Spectrum', was presented at the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) Annual Scientific Meeting in December 2021. It is similar to the presentation given at the Association of Early Pregnancy Units (AEPU) Annual Scientific Meeting in November 2021.

Hi I’ve been told the baby is growing close to my c section scar is there a chance this pregnancy can progress there is a heartbeat. I’ve had bleeding on and off from the start this week being my heaviest I still have not passed anything
My next scan is on Tuesday. Any advise I would be great full.
I am so sorry to hear your difficult news. Early pregnancy can be a very uncertain time. I am afraid that I cannot comment on specific cases but do show your team this video, if there is doubt about whether the pregnancy is IN the scar or not. Best wishes
Thank you so much for the very informative presentation. I am a sonographer, Obstetricians always refer me pregnants in the 3rd trimester to do US because they have previous CS, how can I measure the myometrial thickness in this stretchy uterus & when I should say that they are at risk?
Hi / I’m sorry but I can’t answer that. This talk is purely about first trimester ultrasound. There are other resources available on 3rd trimester - best to Google it. Best wishes
