This is the part of the process the distinct character and color of a track starts to come into sharper focus.
Think about it like this: the basic track is like the bones of a house, and now we get to do some interior design. Right now we’re looking for the furniture that’s going to anchor the room, not the pictures or nicknacks that will add the final touches.
Another way to put it: We're still adding trees to the painting, not focusing on the individual leaves!
At this point I’m still trying to add things in a way that feel natural and organic, as though there was another musician who played live in the arrangement.
