      And I'm tired of paying for criminal activity and I would assume that the majority of taxpayers I'm tired of paying billions of dollars to the sham department called the department of Justice. This type of attitude is exactly why we are short so many police officers on our city streets and are getting ready to be short a whole bunch more because who would want to be a police officer in this day and age in this climate of hate the police the police are the bad guys defund the police. Their job was dangerous enough before all this garbage started. I see people on here bitching about the wait times for calls for service. Well that's what happens when your city's department is short as many officers as Phoenix Police department is. And it's just going to get worse from here with all the anti-police rhetoric. I keep saying we reap what we sow.

Or if you came home from work tonight(and that's assuming that you have a job) and you realized your house had been burglarized, what would you do? I bet you would do what all people do when crimes have been committed against them they pick up the phone and they call the police. I love the people who love to talk s*** on police officers but in a second they would call them for help if they were a victim of a crime. You say lie lie lie lie that's all police officers do is lie. What the hell do you think criminals do? Besides break the law and terrorize the cities they live in but they lie lie lie.

    Consent Decree! Yes highly expensive but an answer! And no it will make things better! But there is always a 12 Step option. Utilizing the 12 Steps can be a way to recover faster. Just replace addiction or alcoholism with “craving for violence”!

    • @shelleybond7052
      @shelleybond7052 Před 2 dny

      You're ridiculous if you think it'll make things better good luck and investigate the cities consent decree and see how their violent crime has skyrocketed since they had it in place. You want to know why because it gives even less of an incentive to be a police officer. Every department every city across the country is short understaffed we need many many more officers to protect our city streets our neighborhoods and now this is going to make it worse because it's just another restriction and police will stop leasing like they used to because of the consequences they could face just by doing their job. And like you said in the video would not money be much better spent on hiring lots of more officers and maybe they won't be so overworked and have so many calls to deal with that they can actually make more clear decisions when dealing with things. They have to act like the ER treat them and street them but it doesn't work so well when you're talking about policing. That money could be put to so much better use that would actually make their jobs less difficultlike he said maybe build a couple of homeless shelters get some homeless off the street maybe build a couple more treatment centers for people to go to with substance abuse or maybe just hire a whole bunch more officers. The only thing the federal government does when they get involved is f*** things up.

    • @shelleybond7052
      @shelleybond7052 Před 2 dny

      I love how you sit up there on your high horse and have the balls to criticize the dangerous situations police officers have to deal with every shift they work. They have to make split-second decisions to achieve the goal and to ensure they make it home to their families every day and night. You do realize that the Phoenix Police department responded to over 8 million calls for service last year alone and they pulled 36 incidents to investigate from years before last year and include them in their report. So from the last three to five years doing between 7 and 8 million calls for service they pulled 36 incidents and the problem with that is they didn't take into account the entire incident from beginning to end. They focused on the very end and if you do your own investigation like I'm trying to do right now, look at the incident they reported on then go file a public records request for all body cam footage relating to that incident and watch the whole incident play out. The sixth that I have seen so far I said I'd be giving out badges of bravery for handling themselves like professionals in a very tense and dangerous situation. And I love your comment if you do not break the law doj would not be investigating you. And here's another way to look at it people would stop committing crimes and acting a fool they wouldn't be having interactions with police officers in the first place. I'm not going to say that they're not bad cops in every department but the number is very small. I would venture to Guess that 99.9% of all police officers are good and they would lay down their life to protect you or me. But just like in everything you've got a few bad apples and you can't judge an entire class by a few bad apples. I know I'm going to get the well they have to be held to a higher standard because potentially somebody could lose their life. Well then that applies to the bad doctors and that applies to bad teachers. How come they're not held to such a high standard how come we don't have the department of Justice coming in and investigating those areas? At least twice a week I see on the news another teacher or principal have been arrested in connection to c********* or inappropriate relations with students. I think that's a crime. Where's the department of Justice to investigate the hiring practices and the training practices of teachers and principals? Having terrible people like that take care of our children and be in charge of our children could also lead to loss of life. Maybe not at that very second but maybe down the road when that kid is so f***** up from being taken advantage of by a trusted individual that they just lose their mind and they go back and shoot up the school they went to or they go crazy and they shoot up a crowd of people because they're mine so f***** up. Stop blaming the solution and start looking at the f****** problem. The problem is this world we're living in is disgusting nobody has any respect for anybody nobody has morals and values nobody gives a s*** about their neighbor and too many kids growing up without Daddy's to teach him how to behave. There I said it yep if people would stop having babies without having two parents to raise them maybe we wouldn't have as many problems as we do now. Shame on you

And I would also like to say shame on every person on your commenting from your high horse as if you know anything about any situation that a police officer has to go through. How every interaction could possibly be deadly for the officer for a citizen or for the criminal and they are expected to make split-second decisions and never get something wrong? Of course they're going to get things wrong occasionally because they're human beings but how dare people sit on here and criticized when you know damn well every one of you if your car got stolen or your house was burglarized (and that's assuming that you have a house you have a car) would be on the phone calling the police reporting you were a victim of crime. I don't know karma comes around in a funny way, and maybe one day you'll need the police and they won't respond quickly enough because they're so understaffed because of people like hearing with all this anti-police rhetoric. Following a comprehensive investigation, the Justice Department announced today that the Phoenix Police Department (PhxPD) and the City of Phoenix (City) engage in a pattern or practice of conduct that violates the U.S. Constitution and federal law.
    Specifically, the Department finds that:
    PhxPD uses excessive force, including unjustified deadly force and other types of force.
    PhxPD and the City unlawfully detain, cite, and arrest people experiencing homelessness and unlawfully dispose of their belongings. This is the first time the Department has found a pattern or practice of conduct that focuses on the rights of people experiencing homelessness.
    PhxPD discriminates against Black, Hispanic, and Native American people when enforcing the law.
    PhxPD violates the rights of people engaged in protected speech and expression.
    PhxPD and the City discriminate against people with behavioral health disabilities when dispatching calls for assistance and responding to people in crisis.
    The Department also described serious concerns about PhxPD’s treatment of children. Finally, the Department identified deficiencies in policy, training, supervision, and accountability that contribute to PhxPD and the City’s unlawful conduct.
    “The Justice Department has concluded there is reasonable cause to believe that the City of Phoenix and the Phoenix Police Department engage in a pattern or practice of conduct that deprives its residents and visitors, including Black, Hispanic, and Native American people, of their rights under the Constitution and federal law,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “The release of today’s findings report is an important step toward accountability and transparency, and we are committed to working with the City of Phoenix and Phoenix Police Department on meaningful reform that protects the civil rights and safety of Phoenix residents and strengthens police-community trust.”
