  • In this video I will show you how to make one long continuous strip of yarn from a T-shirt. T-shirt yarn can be used to replace any other chunky yarn in you knitting, crocheting and weaving projects. And stay tuned because I have several projects that I'll post in the coming weeks that don't require a crochet hook or knitting needle.

My husband is about to loose a couple dozen t shirts....He doesn't need so many. :) I don't think I will care how greasy or stained they are either because I need a new rug, or two, or three.... lol. It's probably not a good thing that i saw this video. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your video is clear and done nicely. There are lots of similar ones out there, I wouldn't bother to remake what you have done, but my only suggestion is perhaps use a better color than black just so it's a bit easier to see what you are doing when you do the cross-cut on the diagonal. Your setup, timing, lighting and clarity of sound were all great. If you make other videos, keep on keeping on with the same.

Thank you for this tip on making a continuous t-shirt yarn ball. I bought lots of t-shirts last year at a Boy Scout rummage sale at a local church. I used the strips I made from the t-shirts to braid and make hair ties, wrist bands for Relay for Life. I bought about 20 t-shirts for $10. Also, garage sales are a great place to get t-shirts!!
