  • Here's the perspective of a rider with Mosko Moto Back Country 25 pannier bags (best in the world, in my opinion) on what is currently the best luggage set up in India - Dirt Sack Core 30.
The Dirt Sack bags are 100% waterproof, come with 30 litres capacity (each side) and are very easy to take on and off the bike. That too at a reasonable cost of Rs 18,500.
I rode my Triumph Tiger 1200 off-road for a week and the bags didn't budge at all. That's money well spent.
You can check out more details about this bag here: dirtsack.in/product/saddle-ba...

The advantage I see with hard panniers is the shut it-forget it approach. Don't need to keep checking on it if you stop for lunch breaks at dhabas or restaurants. But then there's the challenge of always being careful with your loaded bike, lest you drop it pannier first. I think a 'clampable' version from DS would be a great option at a marginally higher price point :)

How much and what luggage were you carrying that warrants 2 bags on the side and some on the rear seat?

No. The Tiger's pannier stays are equal in width.

Hi Abhinav, will they provide frames to mount on Himalayan ?

    • @abhinavbhatt

Frames? If you mean saddle stays, then you have to buy them. They will provide the nylon plates that will mount on any bike that has pannier/saddle stays.
