Well I got to the point where I'm comfortable doing most of them. Especially the b1d4 corner carry combo. That one I have down pat. Reptile is a cool character. I'm not amazing at MKX by any means, but I believe Nimble has a lot of potential to make Reptile a top ten character. But he does have his bad match up's like a lot of characters. But what you will see at EVO are top tier characters who make it to the top like Alien, Mileena, Sonya etc. Smoke is another character people sleep on.

There are characters in MKX where you have to play a specific way like your character Liu Kang for example where he has good zoning, good pokes or cancel's. Reptile has a lot of tools in his arsenal besides guaranteed pressure. I just find a lot of people sleep on Reptile.
great stuff. im looking to try and pick up nimble reptile yet again now that i main flash in injustice 2 and recently tried to use reptile and did well. also that transition you used that looks like flash running across the screen or something is cool
Sure he has some flaws, and other characters in this game have some excellent braindead offence. But this character is a lot of fun & worth the investment. His spit is even faster now which gives him more potential damage in the corner. Even going for some nice stage brutals & regular brutalitys in general are fun when the ability is activated. Just keep in mind when the basilisk ability is active Reptile cannot block.

Brilliant, just playing this game again cos mk11 is crap, Reptile was my main but never picked Nimble, trying him out now & my thumbs just aren't as quick as they use to be, i,'ll keep at it tho.

+Pookie Lee I do have experience getting the combos online. Especially the combos from 1:46 and 2:35 in the video. I have done it plenty of times online. Doesn't mean i never drop them, it happens. It takes some solid execution. Just keep practicing cause it took me a while to get down. If you are just starting out on trying to get down his F4 Dashes into his combos, I recommend working on the the F412 enhance basilisk combos first. (What has helped me anyway) to get the F4 Dash out after a (F412EXDD3) is to keep holding forward towards your opponent when you juggle them with the (first slippery slide). Once i hit them with that slide, I still hold forward towards my opponent when the slide hits them, then i go for a f4 dash. It really helped me out. Once you get that down then work on his B1D4 string into some nimble combos.
For some reason the forward 4 dash doesn't work during basilisk runner (once you have the opponent in the air). Like I guess the game doesn't read the inputs idk
when you try to do a forward 4dash, try to get in the rhythm of landing his f412 dd3 for the nimble ability then slide, once you hit that first slide keep holding forward towards your opponent then try to go for a f4 dash. It's all timing, once you get it down its not really that hard to land. Just look at the video closely whenever I land a slide I keep walking forward towards my opponent then connect the f4 dash. from the f412 dd3 for nimble, you can get 3 f4 dashes max, from b1d4 fast acid ball delay njp you can land 4 f4 dashes
Great vid pal help a lot,but that fukin' f4 dash is seemingly impossible for me :( too bad cause u cant do good nimble combos without f4 dash... I tried with just normal basilisk and after 2 fast slides and easy f4 but cant connect with dash no matter how i trying :(
Flunzy II At this point in the game yes they still work. Reptile Nimble variation actually gets more damage now in the corner since they did speed up his acid spit. Also at mid screen he can hit 50% one bar from his f412 string in Nimble
Glenn Abraham No the one set up i did on Cassie it wouldn't work if she used a bar and woke up. Her wake up is to fast. Does work well on most of the cast though. Especially the slower wake up's. I only used Cassie cause she has a smaller hit box. Most nimble combo videos I see people just perform them on Ferra Torr or Goro cause they have the biggest hit boxes in the game. Just wanted to show a lot of his nimble stuff does work on female characters.
Sorry to hear that. What helped me when I played was hitting a slide first when the slow down ability was active, then just holding forward /walking towards my opponent. That's when you hit 4 & it will.come out as a f4 knee, then you use the bf2 special move dash, then f4 dash & so on. How I slowly put it together when I first learned the nimble stuff
@@technique4708 when you get use to the dashes you can hit F412 basilisk into f2 dash, f4 dash, f4dash, f4dash f4 slide, F412 slide. When you get the dashes out more frequently the character completely opens up on what he can do.
@@Keion973 best way I can explain it you hold forward on the direction you want to go before hitting the f4 knee, you'll notice when basilisk is active I slightly hold forward towards my opponent almost like I walk towards them for a second before hitting that first f4. Then after that it's forward 4, forward 4. But you can hit the basilisk ability from f412 into forward to as well then go on to hitting the forward 4 knees. Best way I can explain it without showing someone. What system are you playing on? Cause I have this game on xbox

Then on the first f4 dash you want to hold forward towards your opponent. you will see reptile walk ever so slightly. Let your opponent drop a tiny bit. Once you hit 4, the forward 4 knee should just come out since your holding forward already. From then on just hit f4 & add the dash, f4 dash, slippery slide into F412 slippery slide. Best way to practice it. When you get more use to it you can hit f412 basilisk from forward 2 dash knstead of hitting the slide first.

Also from F412 enhanced basilk you can connect f21 instead of just just going for a slide right away. Also his damage is a little better now cause his acid spit is faster with some combos in the corner. If you want to try corner stuff try F412 Ex Basilsk, f4 acid spit, standing 4 dash, F4 acid spit, f4 acid spit, f4 acid ball, uppercut, f412 slide for 54%

Sub Zero, Liu Kang, Shinnock and Mileena. And Kano I always have issues with in general

By simply inputting the forward dash move which is, back forward y on xbox. Back forward triangle on playstation
