I'd say the majority of people are working on their engines INSTALLED in the vehicle so these videos with the engine removed don't really help with access issues etc. Anyone can do the work with the engine removed and plenty of space. :/

Great video. Quick question- which pulley would it be if the engine is making a whining noice when turned ON?
2013 Kia optima hybrid LX 2.4 here you need to change both pulleys at least in my case. I changed the inner one and now I need to change the outer one. The outer one is closer to the alternator. I’ve wasted two whole days working on this hours on end taking it apart please don’t be like me and please learn that it has two tensioners and that it needs to be changed.
so belt tensioner pulley got bent and need to be replaced anyway I can replace it without pulling the engine out. its a 2012 Kia Optima hybrid.
is it the same for sportage 2012 gas 2.0 theta? Also is it normal for the tensioner to move when ac compressor on?
if the tensioner is fine can I just change the pulley only?

This is a nightmare on a 2014. Absolutely no space. Spring mechanism and pulley barely fit. Should've brought it to a fckn shop
How about mentioning the washers on the idler pulley? No videos ever say anything about that. My new idler pulley was loose, and it came with 2 dust covers. I've searched on the internet and can't find any clear answers about that. Also, how do you loosen the serpentine belt if moving the tensioner like you do in this video doesn't create enough slack? I can't seem to get the belt back on
Check the belt, may be just about 5 inches too short, happened to me
