Awesome video! Think we need more of those, iOS has sooooo many new features it’s always great to get a reminder piece meal, as when they only are announced once per year it’s easy to get overwhelmed and not use any of them. This made me look into several of the features you presented here that I will now use. Very useful.

Very informative video, Aaron! Much appreciated as I never knew that we can drag multiple items at once on the home screen; that is awesome for rearranging apps for focus modes. Dunno if I’m the only one, but I’m ‘always’ using Focus modes now, too. Best design change to iOS that Apple has made in a very long time.
I hope they can work out the kinks of iOS 17 so that the user experience can be much more improved by early 2024. It had a rocky start, but things have been improving, for sure.

Great video as always. One thing I’m unsure of is the Haptic Touch feature which you mentioned at 8:15 might have been there since iOS 16. I might be wrong here but I don’t think this is a new feature that came out with iOS 17.

on iOS16 "faster" Haptic Touch works more like "default" on iOS17. So with iOS17 you can make it even faster.

You are wrong. It was in iOS 17 that such a fast response appeared. It has been mentioned a lot of times by different bloggers and in different articles and videos.
Spam call notification screening (built in), macro camera software mode on regular 14, 15 models, wake up alarm separate volume and precancellation option, if woken up just before it goes off (not sleep focus), better battery life.... these are desperately needed in next updates...
How do you activate this feature with photos ( the label thing ) my IPhone 14 Pro doesn’t do anything!
iOS 17.1.1 is alittle buggy on the iPhone 11. Keyboard not going away. Wi-Fi going in and out at times when getting the device warm. Slightly laggy app opening. Some of the Ui in the settings acts weird. But decent experience so far. I’m sure it’ll get better
I find the look up feature in photos very useful for laundry labels. To be honest, I usually have to take a pic anyway, so I can zoom in to read.
For whatever reason, the dog look up very infrequently gets it right for my Labrador. Some of the suggestions are hilarious - American Foxhound or Beagle, the last time.
That ProMotion is on 100 in this video.
Useful video Aaron! My #1 favourite feature is a tie between the focus feature and the silence unknown call feature. Everyone needs some privacy from time to time and well, who wants to be bothered by scammers?

Hey ... there's this weird feature/bug in ios with aod ..... basically if you customise your lockscreen clock/widget color to black ans enable aod specifically with the "show wallpaper " option DISABLED... your always display just wont show the clock because everything is black now

My favorite feature is they removed the period from beside the space bar. I feel like I can type again without putting a period after everything.

Another excellent and informative video! I notice that my keyboard in messages default has changed. On the right side of the bubble that contains my text, it shows the icon for recordings. To return to my keyboard, I need to press the space bar. Was this an addition to iOS 17? If so, do you know of a way to make typing the default? Thanks in advance to all that reply.
Not sure what you mean. If you are using the Apple Keyboard, the voice dictation button hasen't changed as it is in the bottom right. Just tap to use it and tap again to stop oit or just start typing.

Additionally, on the right, in the bubble where the reply one is typing appears, the microphone icon appears. On my 14 Pro Max, the microphone icon below the RETURN key does not appear and in the bubble the microphone is replaced with a red icon (This icon is shown when pressing the + to display the "most used features" is for the Audio. Hope that clarifies my issue
Those are 2 different things. If you have voice dictation off it wont show, but the mic icon in the + menu is for voice recordings. If that is what you mean?

Hi Aaron! Can you please guide how you added AQI, Wind, Precip, Feels like, in weather app widget?
That password one needs to be better known. People could change their pw for safety reasons and think it's now secure, as they don't know it can't still be circumvented for 72 hours. Could lead to problems. It should be re-designed so that when you change your pw you get the option to make the old one available for a limited period of time. It should not be the default.

I didn’t know you could set passcode to expire on your phone that’s useful so if your phone is used in an enterprise environment like at work for example, you can require you to change your passcode every couple months
Best part of ios17 is glitching out my tru depth camera, can’t even use Face ID ever after restoring phone, wish I could downgrade

My iPhone 14 Pro Max battery drained so quickly, like you were in the first nine months, to 87%, and then strangely stuck there until recently after the one-year warranty period, and now it is dropping like a rock to 84%. What Apple is doing is so obvious. I wish someone could afford to sue Apple for battrey replacement on this.
Does that label feature work like Google Lens on Android? For example take a photo of an airplane and it will tell you where it departed from, the flight number and the time it will arrive

Visual look up never work no matter what I do I’m disappointed about apple bugs when I switched to iOS
It depends what phone you have. Also, what language you have said as visual look up does not work everywhere based on that.
@@zollotech A15 is capable of that also any cheap android has google lens also background sound doesn’t work properly and animations sometimes disappears when opening and closing apps so frustrating

I’d watch a video on restoring battery life - there’s one with two guys that go thru each setting but in general these batteries are like a lottery keeping them in good health. My 12 mini was as good as my used SE 1st gen 😂
So for those of you that don’t know..Apple products are man made. You can have the same product, running the same software on the same network and still have issues…these videos are cool and I’m glad it brings the creator a little passive income, but the bottom line is..if you continue to buy technology, you will have some type of issue, NO MATTER WHAT!

ANYONE ⚠️ having issues with Apple car play? Mine will sometimes not play sound even tho on my phone it says it’s playing I have to reset my phone every time to fix it.
Just like to point out that with that first one, moving multiple home screen apps, you're only manipulating the shortcut icons.
So if you move them to the last page like that you're not deleting any apps, just moving the shortcuts. They're not "gone forever", i.e. you've only removed the icons from the home screen.

I haven’t heard from anyone that they’ve slowed them down. In fact, I’ve heard that they’ve sped them up. I cover them every single weekend on Saturday talking about the issues that they’re having and how performance and battery life are.

Have you brought your device into an Apple Store to be looked at by a technician? Or called Apple support? A slowing device can be cause by a bad install or update of the OS, requiring the need for a clean software install. There could also be hardware issues or degraded battery health on older devices contributing. Additionally, if the apps you’re having issues with are third party apps, there could be a compatibility/optimization issue on specific devices with third party apps that Apple can’t account for or correct.
