I was lucky enough to see il maestro in 2017 in Łódź. I was at a fluid mechanics seminar in Warsaw but I took a train to see him. Wonderful

I can hardly explain what this music means to me. How many feelings, memories and thoughts it provokes and awakens. Back in 2015 I attended one of the last Maestro Morricone's concerts - and his magic made this grown man cry all the concert trough. This brings peace and beauty into my life. Everybody who came to this comment section and who enjoys this music - may you be happy, healthy and prosperous all your life. You're such a preciouss bunch of beautiful people.

Credo che Ennio Morricone per quanto mi riguarda sia il compositore di musica moderna più straordinario e capace che io abbia mai ascoltato. Mi sarebbe piaciuto chiedergli qualora avessi avuto modo di incontrarlo da cosa realmente prendeva ispirazione dalle sue composizioni musicali. Ritengo che la Sua Sensibilità musicale e non solo lo ponga al pari di Mozart e dei grandi della musica classica, con una grande differenza: la sua musica evocativa tocca ventricoli celebrali e neuroni del cuore come pochi altri compositori. Ennio Morricone oltre ad accompagnare la mia vita di tutti i giorni è per me stimolo per capire le mie emozioni e studiare il mio stato d'animo mentre ascolto la sua musica, sono molto felice di essere vissuto durante la sua esistenza artistica.
Per quanto ci riguarda.... e credo siamo più di due.... Ennio davvero un mito.....

Morricone is the greatest modern composer. I fist became aware of him when I watched the movie "Mission". I was blown away. The music made the movie. I then found other movies he did the soundtrack to. I have two CD's with his music. Thank you very much for this.
I agree. Our library has a local film critic present regularly and he turned me on to Morricone’s talent - and always sings his praises.
The Mission album is an excellent example of his finest work. But what did it for me was the spaghetti westerns. You have to get past the good bad and ugly theme. Dig deep. CZcams "Good Luck, Jack" and "Goodbye Colonel."
I agree. The Mission blew me away with the sound track. That was my first awareness of this great composer. I have watched two movies IN ITALIAN just because of his beautiful music. They are: Cinema Paradiso and Malena. The films were good too.
Funny to think of someone having the same reaction to a movie that is kind of unknown and with the soundtrack really being an aside. But, yes, It was one I'll never forget. About 1/4 of the way through I was thinking damn this music is soooo good. I've never forgotten it after all these years. And there were to be maybe a dozen more EM soundtracks that his hard too. A phenomenon.

Afortunadamente, aunque tengo una infinidad de bandas sonoras suyas y versionadas, aun hay melodías del Maestro por descubrir..., y disfrutar. ¡Somos afortunados! -le correspondo con otra recomendación, si es que no la conoce: "La Corrispondenza" y "Cartoni Animati", pero sabemos que haríamos un listado muy amplio. Que su música nos siga iluminando.

Un pionnier le maestro ,il a montré le chemin à une grande majorité, de compositeurs qui ont compris qu’une musique.....meme de film pouvait toucher un maximum de monde,ils sont nombreux à l’avoir comme modèle,certains qui se sont fait une place au soleil et l’ont tutoyé , n’oublieront jamais pourquoi ils sont là et d’ou leur est venu leur inspiration , ils nous ont donné à leur tour de l’émotion et perpétuent son héritage d’une autre manière c’est pas grave,la musique évolue,mais tant que l’esprit et l’emotion y trouvent leur compte c’est très bien,l’héritage est assuré,Mr Morricone à jamais dans nos esprits et nos cœurs,votre inspiration est le moteur de notre vie quand les jours sont moins beaux ,y a toujours l’etincelle qui retient la lumiere 🧡

Morricone’s symphony has this gentleness and lightness that takes you through a sense of longing, at times haunting and at times uplifting. I remember the emotions that he weaves in my heart while watching Cinema Paradiso or Lolita. He was truly a maestro and will be greatly missed.
