The build is absolutely stunning, love the big, walkable open spaces and the cute details. Parklife on steroids indeed †and what a difference it makes!

This is excellent, the new DLC is an absolute game changer for us console mortals. đ Can't wait to see you have a stab at some 1960s style suburbia đ
"There's been a murder in the stadium. Hopefully nothing too serious." Umm, define serious. lol. Aside from the homicide, this was such a great build. A great DLC in the hands of a fabulous detailer, and I knew it would be good, but you exceeded my expectations. Which is really on me, I should have known better. I think the only danger for me would be to overdo the detailing and have it look too busy and not cohesive enough. (oh, and murder I guess.)
Don't forget some leisure here and there would give your stadium a night time vibe, a restaurant/bar would make people happy (well they would me :D )
So good!! Love this DLC in your hands. Looking forward to the next builds.

The wall to wall buildings are easily the best vanilla buildings in the game. The way they create little shared yards and spaces between the buildings is so satisfying.
At 15.32 when you're like "yes please, walkability", I think you just put down a path is a detour. I'd just walk down the hill on the grass.
What if theres a "No standing on the grass" sign?

I think this would be great with a green cities neighborhood that bans cars or a completely pedestrian campus area. Small pockets around unique buildings is a good idea also, like a pedestrian government district or something tying the European uniques together using the Old Market Station as the main transport.
It was my comment about the stadium facing the city. You made the right call on the orientation here, such symmetry.

Almost didn't notice đ€ŁAmazing plaza space around the stadium, love it đ Really like how the bus road bends to the right on the entrance area, gives the view to the stadium so much more importance. Looking forward to what you and everybody else can come up with using the new options from this DLC - a real game changer.
Oh. My. WORD!!!! The roadies against the stadium..need I say more?? Well, I'm me, so yes, I will! This open air space is just gorgeous, I'd hang out there for hours. I can just imagine the stadium goers flooding out after the game and continuing the party right thre in the plaza, eating and talking and having a good laugh . This DLC was just made for you, Egg! Definitely one of CS' best DLCs! I was eventually planning to create something similar with the Campus DLC (Xbox here), but P&P is on a whole new level.

Every city planner ever: but that thing, it scares me.
This DLC is making my town centers look so much better. The government buildings look much more important without being forced onto car roads nearby. As well, I used to only build them on two lane roads before, the wider lane pedestrian paths are fantastic with them!

I think you should have faced the entry of the stadium to the plaza itself, and not prioritize it to the highway. If I was a tourist in your town I would have liked to take a photo in the playa with the statium's entry behind me. Just my two cents. By the way, love your videos. I have learned a lot from them. What is that mod where the camera can touch the grown level? Thank you

Love the plazas centralized with the stadium entrance! (I'm new here but "yes, please" on that one.) Can't wait to get some time to try out the new DLC!
Those new glass railing things look great on road and path edges when applied with IMT, I used them as barriers on the edges of overpasses (with roads that don't normally have railings). Great video, thank you.

You are the reason I started playing Cities again. Had it for years, but never quite enjoyed it, until I found your channel and started watching your Noobs Guide a few days ago. I love the way of slowly expanding your city and spending a lot of time detailing. Btw are you using any mods to improve the graphics? Because I canÂŽt get my game to look like that.

Great build as always Egg. One question - at some point during the detailing timelapse, you managed to replace the horribly garish pink stadium seats with green ones - maybe I missed a mention, but how did you manage to do that? Thanks again for all the inspiration.

amazing build. I've built some amazing football (yes football not soccer ;)) stadiums in my city. but never thought about using walkable stadium. But that does make sense. I am thinking about the veltins arena in gelsenkirchen, which belongs to my favorite club schalke 04. They have a walkable area, and around the stadium mass of parking. So it does make sense do use the new dlc for this

Egg I was watching your stream and wanted to let you know you can have campus assets on the ped roads. If you place a normal road, you can then place a campus buliding on it and then upgrade the road to a ped road and the building will be perfectly happy!

Man, I want to play this so bad. I have all the dlc including this, but I need to wait 3 months until I get a beefy pc enough to play this beautifully.
Your hearse comment was so British...I love your sprinkling of rhododendrons and the forest border adds a realistic feeling. If I had to change one item, I would give the service point direct access to the ped roads so the service vehicles did not have to make a left onto the main drag and then another left to enter into the ped area. BTW, what is the name of the sports team so we can errr egg them on?!?
It feels like a little miss how unwalkable it probably is to get to this highly walkable area. Which also means cyclists may have troubles arriving here. Part of this isolation is the terrain but also the freeway further segmenting off this bluff.
A two-deck American football stadium seats 50,000-80,000. Game day crowds might arrive over the course of three hours prior to the event, but at the end, everyone wants to leave at the same time. Such dense demand creates bottlenecks even for high capacity transit systems. To accommodate these tens of thousands of visitors, he has no parking lots (not even adjacent to the pedestrian zones), a few bus routes, and one monorail line. He omitted connecting the stadium to the subway. Sure it looks good, and it's game-functional. But the customer experience for getting to and from this venue on match days would leave customers fuming.

I think the bridge over the highway is nice, but perhaps a bit oversized...Kinda reminds me of the DybbĂžlsbro in Copenhagen, or the Rue de Rivoli after pedestionisation.

I never knew Instant Gaming could be so sold out. I've been trying for 24 hours or so to buy it but it sells out fast!
So it IS possible for individual ploppable assets to be used by cims.

Prop line tool mod mate, nice little quality of life improvement for placing trees, decals etc.

at my pedestrian area i places commercial zones and the buildings dissapear and rebuilding all the time. What i am dong wrong
Sticking light poles right next to the artists sculpture? Never in a million years would you get away with that one Egg. A light for that purpose would be a low item along the ground designed most likely with the artist to specifically compliment the piece, maybe even with color control depending on time of day to become a part of the artistry of the feature.
