How to kill a hide behind:
1. make a suit with razor sharp spikes at the the entire back of you body including neck, head, and legs.
2. Grab a decent close quarters weapon(shotgun or flamethrower).
3. Wait until it comes behind you, then back away hard into the wall, preferably inside a corner, if it gets in front of you or at the sides (wont happen if you are in a corner) or ceiling blast it with the weapon, if it doest get away from behind you, get the suit off and document the body.

For the listeners. There is a Crypted known as a Drop Bear that lives in Australia. They look similar to Koalas but unlike them these guys are extremely dangerous. This might sound silly to you, but I highly suggest while visiting Australia, try not to look like a tourist. There are other things too but that is the stuff I am sure you will end up finding out when there. Since most people who live in Australia know to warn foreigners about them and general things you need to know to try and not get attacked by one.
