The thing I like about this story is how relatable the MC is. No quest for vengeance or mission fueled by hate. Just "Man's gotta make a living somehow."

I'm bout 80% sure fire tower started out as a video game. Generally follows the story line.
Edit: name of game is firewatch. But the name of the occupation is actually fire lookout, standing fire watch is an action, commonly used by the armed forces. IE "Watson stand firewatch at the door, nobody in , no body out."

I love how the main character here actually seems like he fell into bullshit, he doesn't really know what's going on, but over time he's realistically growing in experience and expectation, if and when this series meets its end, I hope we get to see his transformation into a more serious and gristled crypid hunter, that would be pretty cool

I REALLY REALLY HOPE this is the first part of a series! There were A LOT of loose ends left. Delores is obviously a cryptid of some kind who is up to something sinister. Anyway, this was an amazing story narrated by the best! I truly hope there’s WAYYY MORE to this story!

Well, Banshee is a very sinister ghost, of a troubled woman. You cant negotiate with it, it will drive you insane, make you deaf and kill you. And then, it expects YOU, to marry her in Afterlife or she will make it living hell!

I mean, if he uses the name, but made up a whole new creature, how are we supposed to understand, what it actually is!? But I get it. This is the trend now, people stealing IPs from left to right, like the SCP hack and turning all his loot, to something “supposedly different,”(I guess, to avoid the legal and moral issues), that we, the audience, have no idea, what the author, want US, to think about, the plagiarised stories and their stolen IPs.
First, I thought Delores being a Mermaid, cause of her singing and mental influence, she really had NO UNDEAD, pointers, at any moment, we heard about her. You do know, Banshee, being a undead ghost, of a vengeful woman right?

@@magicmaniac5482 No worries, Im not an English speaking person, so, I dont actually understand(correctly), many other common phrases either, like, If someone says “to be honest,” It makes me to think, the person was lying about everything, before that, even they were not. But I try to build, my understanding of words, bit by bit. It was my mistake, when I read you comment again.
But yes, this story, is one of the greatest, funny at times and just enough horrific, that I really want to hear, what happens to this Ranger/Cryptic Hunter, cause, the story has, the elements, that I thought, will put the writers in to prisons now days… Very brave writing.

We used that alot when I was an Army MP. We actually tried to help people but sometimes you run across some asshole that the world would be a better place without them. Like the guy who almost cut my friend in half with a sawed off double barrel 12ga.

This is from a book. The author has a serious 9f books on Bigfoot and cryptids..the Dixie Cryptid channel narrates both on youtube and gor the audio books. He puts parts of the books on his channel. He just did this one last week I believe it was..
The show Supernatural is basically the same as this story except they’re not park rangers and they don’t sell the cryptids

A lot of the comments say they want more of this storyline, but I feel that it ended just right. Not too much of a cliffhanger, if at all, and left me with a smile. Of course it’s the authors choice as to whether or not it’s done, but personally I’d leave well enough alone. It ended just right.

@@burliesanford1863 thank you! It’s not often that I actually have anyone agree with my comments, as I don’t think that every single story is Oscar worthy and I make my feelings known. But, I do my best to try and assist the authors in their mistakes, and a better way to do it next time. I’ve never told any writers to just hang it up. If you’re going to do any type of creative work, whether it’s writing, painting, acting, etc., you better be able to handle the criticism. So again, thanks!

WOW WOW WOW. Its taken me over a year to finish this. I was in a coma for a few days. Homeless, and fighting alcoholism and depression. I failed an assination attempt. A lot of things have happened. Im back now and ive been getting away from all the chaos by escaping into the wilderness in PA. Thanks for the distraction. Never thought I’d find a creepy pasta with a Main character I hated. Like damn. This dude is a terrible person, neglecting his job, throwing innocent people to death, all just to prove himself right about catching big foot.
My god this story was so beautifully descriptive and interesting the entire way through! Just like Bigfoot spitting piss water or Mrs.”Foot” searching for her man, it was a whole range of emotions from funny to tense within one paragraph. Great job HORROR_WRITER_1717, I really loved this one!
I always love cryptid hunter stories, but this one was incredibly hilarious! I stopped trying to make sense of all of it and just enjoyed the ride. So many crazy dumb luck episodes, that would most of the time irritate me, made me laugh so loud! AWESOME “STORY”. I remember a friend of a friend, that was trained by the Gov in a special unit to engage these types of things, helped “relocate” many bigfoots after the Mt.St.Helens eruption. After about 7 years supposedly he went private as well.. wish I could find him again!

@@jojomafia3851 yes, I have several, two with pics, one with clear pics.. the government here knows all about them, and if people are hunting them for whatever reason, it being big game, or private collection, I’d surmise a big reason they are a high ticket item is their elusiveness of course, as well as how protected their known “home locations” are by the Gov… once you k ow what to look for they are quite prevalent in the Pacific Northwest. A little secret is that they love apples!

I get the feeling this story is related to the Bonesaw Vics Cryptozoological Gardens stories. I think the man with no name is Bonesaw Vic and the hunter in this story is one of his sources for cryptids, him and his business seem too similar to be coincidence.
