- Gate keeping isn’t my style. I know this isn’t my usual content, but I think this is an important topic for those that are struggling right now. If I can do this, ANYONE can earn money on CZcams. I’m not a special person, just a homemaker who lives in normal life. If you have a passion and have a drive to want to share or teach others about what you love, then DO IT! There is no need for fancy equipment or teams. Show up and be consistent. Analyze others and make it a priority to learn from those that are successful around you. I have a frugal channel as well, Pennies to Dollars, from a perspective of a person who just recently retired early at 57 and worked towards that goal. I live in rural Kansas and it took me a year and 11 months to get monetized. Congratulations!

I have been vacillating about whether or not to create a CZcams channel for years. What stops me is that I do not like to be on camera. I like my privacy.
Once you put yourself out there as I have done myself on my channel, you are truly in the public side. But with that being said… You share as much as you want to share and you leave it there. There’s plenty of good tips and information that we can share without sharing our private information.I would say go for it. Somebody needs to hear your story or your tips that you would like to share.❤

I recently started a channel and I am not showing my face in my videos, so far. I may in the future. I only show the faces of a family member or two if they don’t mind being on camera. 😊
Yes I like to watch these Japanese ladies who show their routines and cooking, and some of them never show their faces.

I read to children on my channel, and it's not monetized because it's for kids. But it's a passion of mine. I homeschooled 6 children and farm. Grandma & Bompa is the name of our channel and we have books for all ages. And many educational books as well, to help our homeschool families! So much fun! I enjoy your content very much and your gentle voice!

I’m so glad to see your channel growing so quickly. I recently had a passing thought that I would like to run across an up-and-coming CZcams channel and then all of a sudden your channel showed up in my feed within a couple of days. It has already grown by 4000 subscribers since I subscribed just a few days ago. You have an optimal niche market for your channel so I’m sure that is one of the things that has helped the channel grow so fast as well as your sweet and gentle personality. I have just two more suggestions for people looking to start a channel and that is to post consistently like it is your job and the second suggestion I have is to start a separate bank account for your earnings to be deposited into and business expenses paid out of so you can keep track for taxes. Keep up the great work!

Hello! I’m 20 yrs old and I absolutely love this video and found it very relevant to me! I’m a middle child in a family of 6 and have watched and loved CZcams for years! I’ve always wanted to create my own channel, share my unique/interesting life, but I’ve never done it because of excuses and never really sitting down and starting. So this is motivation❤ Go time!
What does it mean to be monetized now? Do you have a steady income from CZcams now? An income that you can count on?
To be monetized means to be paid a commission on the ads ran on your videos. I’m not sure what the income will look like just yet, as I’ve only been monetized for about a week thus far. It will be interesting to watch unfold though!

I’ve thought about making a channel but not sure where to start or what to do. I craft, make beautiful wreaths, I cook authentic Mexican food (I learned from an older Mexican woman), I need to do clean my house after years of depression, I want to learn to garden. Every year I plant my garden with seedlings from Lowe’s but rarely get any vegetables.

You made it fast quick and in a hurry so it just shows that people are truly interested in what you have to share👍🏻👍🏻. I am a CZcams creator and my channel name is “At Home With Lynn Wilson”. I love to share everything and anything about my home, frugal living, living with disabilities, shopping hauls, and budget cooking. If you ever felt that you wanted to do a collaboration of some sort, I would love to join in with you on something and we can always add anyone else who would be interested as well. By the way, thank you for your tip on making homemade apple cider vinegar… I was given a few apples for my mom and I wasn’t sure if we would eat them so I have turned them into homemade apple cider vinegar and they are currently sitting on my counter, waiting to ferment over the next two weeks.❤

I also recommend staying true to yourself and what you believe in. Don't ever change content you enjoy doing to what you might think will bring you viewers. I would rather not be monetized if that means I can't be me :)

Congratulations! This is so inspiring! My channel is off to a slow start. After posting my first video, it took me 7 months to post my second. Now, I have 5 up and it’s getting easier. We have filmed a lot of content but got bogged down in the editing phase. Becky at Acre Homestead is my inspiration and I watch all of her videos. She posts every other day.

Hi Laramie! Congratulations on becoming monetized on CZcams in such h a short time. I have often thought about creating a CZcams channel. I have no doubt that I would have done so had I not taken care of my mother during her illness as her caregiver for 3 years. There are so many topics that I'm interested in and I wanted to start by saying I'm truly enjoy your Channel. My mother had five children she was a stay-at-home mom why my father was the Sole Provider for the family. Many of the things that you were doing have brought to light the memories of my mother doing so many of the skills you have acquired I loved to see you creating things meals, decorations for your family at Christmas time and you remind me of Psalm 31, the industrious woman,just like my Mother. You are so young but I do believe that you have a better quality of life than many people because you are focused on the righteous endeavors. I saw your little baby on your back while you were cooking and I thought how wonderful for your child that you were right there holding her clothes while doing your chores. I fondly remember cooking with my mother as a small child how precious and meaningful that was to me in later years. What you were giving your children is priceless. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with others it is very much appreciated.

Yay!! Congratulations 🎉❤️ I have started a YT channel and was focusing on minimalism. I struggled with fear while filming (the appearance of perfection in my home, etc) and then I had surgery, we moved and life just got busy (and my tripod broke somewhere in the middle of all of that). Now, financially, I can’t focus on my life on minimalism so much because I don’t know when or if we’ll be able to afford something I decided to purge on a whim. I’ve been convicted about my flippant “just toss this” attitude in the past because everything we have is a gift from God. Anyways, I’d like to get back to it soon and pivot to a focus more on what my life is now - lots of homeschooling, frugal and from scratch cooking, etc. I’d love more videos on how you get past any hang ups or fears when creating your content. I’ve been so blessed by your channel so far! ❤️

She had the same gentle spirit you have and was about frugal living. What interested me at first was the fact you bought a house, unseen for cash. I love seeing repairs and remodeling on a budget. I love this channel and I always loved Frugal Jo as well. Miss her and her content. She stopped posting and removed her videos for safety reasons, as I believe a viewer or multiple viewers began approaching their home and family. Some people just don’t have respect for others privacy, or realize how concerning it is to invade someones personal space. Just because a person posts content online does not give others permission to disrespect and cross boundaries. As a matter of fact it is very scary, as I’ve seen other content creators post about over the last few years. Thank you for sharing your content with us Laramie. Many blessings. 🙏

You are a breath of fresh air! I like to put on a CZcams channel while cleaning and doing monotonous house chores. It’s a time for me to mentally refresh while still being productive.
So many CZcamsrs are loud, energetic, and to be honest kind of too much for me when I’m looking to unwind, or escape the stresses of every day life.

I just discovered your channel a couple of days ago. I love it. I have a CZcams Channel I started back when I was traveling a lot. The intention was to do hotel room tours and cruise vlogging when I was frequently going on Carnival cruises, to Vegas, and different casinos. I work full time outside of the home and have 4 sons so I've neglected the channel for a while. I'd like to get back into it and focus more on normal every day life things like cooking, cleaning, canning, etc. I just might do that in 2024 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration

Thank you for this video. Creating a youtube channel is something I have contemplated. My passion is historic cooking, and I'm currently working my way through a 15th Century English Manuscript - I created the Historic Cookery group on facebook, and have a blog featuring my research. My fear, is that it's such a niche project people may not be interested - plus - I really do not like how I look on camera. However, many of those very old recipes would fit into your content and the taste is not so different from our modern tastes.
What a sweet channel. Your cooking videos showed up in my feed and you remind me of Jamerill Stewart, also a CZcams content creator. Her story is fascinating, and she also overcame some very hard times in her past. Lots to learn from her channel. Congrats on getting monetized. 🙂

This is a great video. I found it after one of your frugal cooking videos popped up in my feed. I too am passionate about frugal living. I just started putting out little videos but they are kind of a mish mash of things. I think fear is what holds me back....fear of judgmental people.

I have ideas for a channel, but I've been in a season of chaos that has just been never ending! I moved back to Alaska in 2018 and things have been chaotic since with a couple of moves and several family dying, as well as a renovations from a predatory shady contractor. I don't know if you are familiar with Jess over at Roots and Refuge, but she is always saying "turn your waiting room into a classroom" and that is exactly what I have been doing from the moment I decided that watching shows on Netflix wasn't helping me reach toward the kind of life I wanted. I started watching CZcams content to fill in the things I needed to know in order to reach for the kind of life I wanted to have. Over the course of all this time, amidst all the chaos ... and menopause... I have developed executive dysfunction which has made organizing and planning difficult... on top of anxiety and depression. Getting out of bed has been difficult... but trying to keep moving toward that goal has kept me focused on "what is the very next step" and so then I take that... because thinking about the whole picture is overwhelming.
So.... I've made it! this is the first post that I actually get to say that! I'm so excited! I finally have made it to that point in the journey where I felt like this is the stability I've been needing. I tried to do some things along the way... but for some reason the simplest of things were proving difficult with the disability on board... I just wasn't able to figure anything out. But... catching content was therapeutic along the way! Now I have this space finally to work with ... hopefully to create systems that will help me function in the rest of my life! which I am hoping will lead to finally getting some videos posted! I wrote ideas down over the years. These loose-paper ideas were everywhere so needed to be collected and now are packed in various places. I'm going to enjoy discovering them again as things begin to come out of boxes and find their final places.

This was a great video. Very informative. You shared tips and tricks I never thought of. I appreciate you not gatekeeping these ideas. There is plenty of room for all those who want to share content. I sometimes feel lost in the shuffle in a sea of preparedness content creators but I just do this part time. Income wasn't even on my mind when I started a year ago but just sharing what I know. I also enjoy sharing content on our travel channel "Wandering Wheelbillies". Making videos and sharing these experiences with others is a fun hobby.❤

This is so helpful! I do hope my videos can add income for us eventually but I am still having so much fun making these videos even without it, knowing that my kids will be able to watch these later in life and remember the fun things we did and fun we had learning together!
Even if it doesn’t make a dime, there’s so much value in learning new skills like videography! It is so much fun to put them together 💕
