I read the comments and makes me smile. Maybe 10% of us in the world have good taste and recognize greatness. NO ONE sounds like CHANGE........even Minus LUTHER...didn't matter....CHANGE went on. The other 90% is so average and enjoying Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Usher and all the other crap. Well, there it is. We are here for CHANGE.
I grew up in West London , white guy and for me Motown , Atlantic, Stax and Volt along with Northern Soul is what I loved along with the Jam and the Small Faces was the music I loved , because of the late seventies early eighties mod revival.
As time went by we got the British version of Soul Train and the music of BB &Q , SOS band , Change Maze and many others just got into my system and have stayed forever.
This music is like fine wine it just gets better with time , and to those who remember you know what I mean .
Change where a brilliant band ….

Can’t believe this song wasn’t a massive hit. It’s a masterpiece. Change were so underrated especially their album without Luther. He was a hard act to follow, but the instrumentals are just incredible. This and Mutual Attraction are absolutely brilliant.

It did reach number 37 in the UK chart, which wasn't bad for a non-UK or non-US R&B act at the time. I remember it was massive in the clubs and on the pirate stations the UK too

How this song didn’t get higher in the charts I will never know,
Possibly poor promotion and Atlantic Records was done. Mutual Attraction is another excellent cut from the same LP (Turn On Your Radio) that didn't get its due.
Relentless driving beat and such great vocals - utterly infectious. You either feel this or you don't - no inbetween. Fantastic track 💜

Great video, Danny. I take it they didn’t release an official MTV style video then in ‘85 - is most of this footage 1920/30s, or later 1950s colour put back into B&W?
Just an incredible song, such a classic. The instrumental arrangement part with the trumpets panning is just epic, it sweeps you off your feet & makes you want to dance with a woman. I loved the video it showed the essence of dancing where you can describe it, & it displayed the roots. Today, the dances are like a crack fest oversexualised dance hell with no roots. Change "One of the greatest groups ever". Take me back to that era & let my heart fly again.

I would like to know the movies that are played. Like to watch them. This song I loved and still love. Reminds me of the Apia club here in Sydney in the 80's where I used to go. This song was played regularly then.

Just an amazing song and time, I was 18 at the time and I was really much into funk, Prince and the whole Minneapolis scene at the time. This brings back absolutely worderful memories, thank you for making and uploading this skillfully made video mix, enjoyed it a lot. Btw, who would these two really hot dancers be, in the beginning of this video? They are amazing, those moves they make, how they enjoy their act and the eye they give, and it was way before this song....
